    FS 2004 Mercedes G500 G-Wagen - 51K miles!

Sorry I haven't been checking back in more frequently. I just sent out a couple PMs and wanted to get back on the forum. The G Wagen is still for sale, but I'm feeling less inclined to sell...the budget still allows for this vehicle, although a little tighter than I had hoped. I am in Pollock...

    FS 2004 Mercedes G500 G-Wagen - 51K miles!

Thanks for the compliments, everyone. I was hoping this rig would sell to someone who might really appreciate it for what it really is. I'm going to put it on Autotrader and Craigslist next week....I guess quantity is the name of the game with auto sales.

    FS 2004 Mercedes G500 G-Wagen - 51K miles!

All, With great sadness, I am listing my 2004 Mercedes G Wagen. This rig is in impeccable condition with less than 51K miles on the clock. It has a new Odyssey battery. Less than 10k miles on 33" Goodyear MTRs (1" spacer lift to help accommodate for the needed extra clearance). Transfer...

No, both 81 liter. They are stackable and are such a perfect fit that the head rests need to be raised slightly for the top container to settle in without touching. There is a thread in the "storage" section about the efficiency of a container...these fit the mold perfectly....no molding or...

Yes, 275 70 18. Thank you for the catch! I'm going to edit now. The 30mm spacers are the spring spacers, not wheel spacers.

And finally an updated picture of my wiring "room." I've reconnected all of my connection points with solder pellets and shrink wrap. It was probably fine before, but I like things to be just right. I've also added the wiring to hook up my National Luna Powerpack that fits perfectly in either...

    Bikeman71's 2004 G-Wagen Build

I've spent a lot of time on the rear cargo storage. Most of the time comes in the form of research. What you see here is a Front Runner Cargo Slider with the locking National Luna fridge plate and 50L Weekender Split Fridge/Freezer. I spent hours looking for the right container to fit...

It is time for some updates on the G-Wagen. I'll start with some exterior pictures. This shows a stock suspension with 30mm spring spacers and 275 70 18 Goodyear MT/R.

That is crazy! It does seem we have similar tastes in all things overland exploring. We should get together for an adventure....I would love to get over to Bishop for something this fall....maybe a trip up to Coyote Flat/Palisade Glacier? I've also got my eye on a couple things just outside...
