86scotty, I get what you are saying and agree. Marketing these days has become dumbed down.

5X8 utility roof top tent trailer - Harold

Looks good and It's a great platform to build upon. The main thing that I would be concerned about is that there is no sideways bracing for the tent platform. I would add some bracing, gussets, trussing, what ever you want to call it to prevent side to side movement. I wouldn't trust just the...

SOLD - OzTent RV-4 plus accessories

Not selling the trailer. I upgraded it and use an awning room for a tent. Overland camping for me is mostly solo. My wife is more of a glamper now and my daughter has graduated college, moved to Boston and started her career, so I am downsizing my outdoor stuff. I have more than I need right...

Tongue Box Ideas for 1/4 Ton Military Trailers

I like the poly boxes. Here in New England, with all the salt and other crap that they use in winter, the cheap steel boxes would be swiss cheese in just a couple of years. I have a Dee Zee poly box from Tractor Supply on my trailer.

Does the Tag-Along have the adapter to attach it to an awning?

    Does anyone know?

Bump looking for the same info. I have an ARB awning room w/floor 2000 x 2000 and ARB no longer offers the 2000 x 2100 awning. Smittybilt makes (or should I say, sells) a 2000 x 2000 awning. I was wondering if the ARB room would attach to the Smitty awning the same way.

Your preferred Roof Rack straps, tie down options?

I use a cargo net. Not the cheap stretchy ones, a well built strap type. Drape it over the cargo and tighten the cambuckle side straps. Safari Straps makes a lot of nets in various materials and sizes. Mine is over 8 years old and still looks like new. https://www.safaristraps.com/cargo-nets/

Want to switch to an oversized wool blanket for my pop-up camper. Suggestions?

The weight of a wool blanket is exactly why I like it. It feels good to me to have some weight to my covers. Down or other light weight options just don't "feel" warm to me.

    Electric Chain Saw???

A few years ago I went all in on Makita battery powered tools. I have the drivers, drills, impacts in 3/8" and 1/2", 4-1/2" grinders and cutoff saws. Haven't used my air powered tools since. I found that they made a nice compact 12" chain saw and since I was already bringing my impact on trips...
