Great report..we 1st went down as a group in 07...spent 10 days round trip from Yuma to San Ignacio lagoon and back...fell in love with Gonzaga Bay and have been returning twice a year since!! Thanks for refreshing our memories of the 1st trip (07 FJ Cruiser, kayak on top pulling a USA...

Doron is still in Vail...I lived around the corner from him until we moved out to Mescal...he's a good guy!

Our 1st trip was with Jack Silbe (San Diego), Doron Strassman (Tucson) and Jose (euroman/El Paso)...firends now...didnt know any of them until they showed us the wonders of Baja and the Whales

Love those early Gonzaga pics...we are noobies to Baja...our 1st trip was in 2007 with newly found on line friends over at 4wdtrips.net . We did that Puertecitos to GB road in a FJ Cruiser with a kayak on top and a 4wd camper trailer out back....tooks 5 + hours just for that leg,. Now you can go...

Sooo..replace the group 24 (NOT 27 as suspected) with a pair of 27 or 31's....OR switch to a pair of Trojan T105 6v?Then back it all up with 100w solar?

Typical trip? A 5-7 trip to Gonzaga Bay in Baja...drop the camper, launch the boat, tie up to a friends mooring and use the camper as base camp...BUT that was in the Northstar TC 650 on the Tundra. We are now in a full size truck camper, so I cant give you a battery life number. Generator...

Ive read a few threads but thought I would ask the question here. 2004 Eagle Cap 1150 with a pair of group 27 wet cell batteries. On board Onan 2500 LP generator. Would you upgrade the batteries to say a pair of AGM group 31's or invest in a solar panel? Rumor has it that the camper is pre wired...

Sooo after years of going to Baja...1st in 07 with an FJ and a Venturcraft trailer....then a Tundra with a TC 650...we parked next to friends with a 11.5 hardside and have made the move over to the hardside crowd.. Duramax 3500 dually crew cab 4x4...headed to Twin Falls ID next week to pick up...

So...after years of searching for a clean used TC650..and finding one....I parked next to friends with a full sized Lance...now we've sold the TC650 to a fellow EP couple and moving over to the hard side...oh yeah Tundra also gone to a crew cab Duramax dually 4x4 thanks to all the posts, mods...

Per the Northstar website this will fit a long or short bed full size truck. NOTE: Tailgate must be OFF or DOWN... I know its winter, but I already own another camper and will entertain any reasonable offer...AND I dont have space to park TWO~
