I feel yah 2t2. I also am 33 and after a long day in the garage welding and working, I feel like I have been in a major car accident. The end result is always worth it though.

Good call pinz ....even with the tailgate on mine, I measured roughly 76" from front wall to the tip of the gate. A tight fit indeed. Plus jerry cans, totes, and basic supplies, gonna be tight. Are the 101's as common as the 416?
101 is going to be your best best. The M416 will limit the amount of gear to one bike....and you might even be hard pressed to get that in with a bit of gear. Good luck!!
Nice work sir. Those fill welds are perfect...or at least will be with a little grinding. My Stevens m416 is getting a make over....it's a great trailer and platform for travel. Welcome to the M416 owners club!!!
Nice build sir. I also have a Stevens m416 from 1967 that is going through a rebuild. I choose to cut in the tailgate similar to flashholes design, and then braced the heck out of it. I started on my lid, and then plan to send it to the blaster for final prep before paint. I will post...
