    Mini Countryman

You get it! I have a built up Rover L322 but it would nice to scoot up to the Smokies from Florida and not spend $1,000 plus on gas to ride on trials my stock outback handled fine. If it’s more than maintained dirt roads I’ll take the L322.

    Mini Countryman

I’ve been wanting to build another soft roader that gets ok fuel economy after my Outback got totaled. Something about the Countryman really sticks out to me plus they can be had for on the cheap. I see a 2in lift kit and a skid plate are both readily available from F7. Does anyone here have a...

    L405 TD6….towing experience?

We towed a 3,500lb travel trailer all over Florida including the Keys with our 2014 SCV6 L405 that was getting up in age/miles. Never had an issue. Get under a L405 and then get under a domestic half-ton pickup truck. You’ll be surprised how beefy the components on the L405 are compared to the...

L322 Spare Parts and Field Tool Kit

I am working on a spare parts and field tool kit for my 2005 4.4 L322. I mostly travel in rural but not remote areas so I want self sufficiency but I’m not looking to rebuilt the truck in the field, worst case I’ll have it towed to a shop assuming I can limp out to pavement. Below is what I have...

Does anyone have a River Quiver with a RTT on their rig?

I have only found this one photo that is a still from a River Smith marketing video showing both a RTT and River Quiver installed side by side. This is what I was hoping someone might have additional photos off. Ideally I’d have the River Quiver on one side, RTT mounted in the center opening aft...

Is a RTT or ground tent better for my use?

99% of the time just my son and I. Occasionally including my wife.

Is a RTT or ground tent better for my use?

I think I want a RTT but I have one big concern. We do not dispurse camp, where we do the majority of our trail riding you can only camp in designated areas so we typically setup a base camp and spend the day adventuring coming back to the base camp in the evening. I’m worried setting up and...

Does anyone have a River Quiver with a RTT on their rig?

Hello Everyone, I am start to want a RTT I think. My question is does anyone have photos of a River Quiver 2 Banger with a RTT on their vehicle? Ideally I would open the RTT towards the read since my cross bars are biased aft and retain my River Quiver for my fly rods.

    Old Man Emu Shocks

I’ve tried searching this here but unfortunately because the brand name is so short it won’t trigger results! I have a 2002 P38 that is still on EAS, I am looking to replace the original shocks. I drive a lot of dirt roads with washboard in Florida exploring and it seems that the OME...

    JLR Restructuring / Reorg

When I worked for JLR the focus was to be a boutique marquee with the saying of “to be truly special something has to be rare”. Since then they’ve just saturated the product lines with uncompetitive vehicles solely relying on brand recognition to sale. JLR needs to go back to a boutique focus...

    New Defender News

Since when did putting Johnson Rods on a EAS equipped Rover become “ruining the suspension”? And no I don’t want Good Year tires that gum up in any type of sticky mud/clay. Or the same Good Year tires that crack to hell and back in just a few years in the Florida sun where I live.
