I am looking at a rack for the top of the shell, something with a low profile that will fit on my existing tracks. I intend to add an awning mounted to it, and mainly use it for carrying a kayak or light equipment on occasion. Providing that is what you meant anyway.....

That is a really nice looking truck, camper too! It still sits a little jacked in the back, but not bad at all. I imagine as you load it, or figure out what you really need etc. over the course of time, things can be adjusted. Enjoy your trip/travels, and rig build!

Yes, very nice to both of those! Nice to see well set up older rigs doing the job. The van always intrigued me, shame one doesn’t see many around these days, at least not in the Midwest. Could be a reason for that!

This all seems a bit puzzling to me, if your truck is indeed wanting to pull as you say it is, it would certainly seem as if there is indeed a problem with either alignment, balance, wear, or maybe a tire(s) that is screwed from the factory. I know these are generalizations here, but I have had...
