Hey I see this was a year ago but did you find the information you are after? This link might help you compare what model you have to the Ausie models of the Navara. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Navara
I just spotted your build thread, looking good well done.
I'm interested in what the weight of the whole thing has ended up when finished. How is it going for the first camping test trips.
I thought that I should add an update.
This is my latest version of hard top roof tent (James Baroud) with two 110 W thin 3 mm, high efficiency E20 cells, semi flexible plastic solar panels glued on top. I have spent five months in the last year travelling around Australia with no problems from...
Hey Dyogim,
I have four Optima batteries. Two for cranking and winching duties under the hood and one big Yellow in the back for the fridge running from a solar panel.
The oldest yellowtop is roughly 12 years and spent the first few years in a work boat. They were going to throw it out as it had...
Thanks Dale,
That is reasonably priced, I might look at importing one of them from the states. There seems to be little available in Australia and that one looks quite unique.
Nice one Lucky j,
I love my fresh coffee in the morning. I use a coffee percolator on the stove or camp fire, but that looks like one step up in sophistication. One thing I have not found yet is a decent quality hand cranked coffee grinder.
That sounds like a fantastic trip.
Have a read of this blog site, Marlin and Espen have done the trip you are looking at and had a lot of interesting experiences.

They also posted a thread of their adventure on the Australian Patrol forum which is well worth the read...
I'm sure they would send it but the shipping might blow the price out a bit.

This is the one I have. I also got a side and rear mesh and solid canvas wall to cut the wind or rain. Also a mosquito mesh room will fit under the rear or side for protection from...
I have a wrap around Supa-wing awning from Supa-peg in Australia.
The great thing is the design to stay up in wind or rain and does not need ropes to hold it down (but they can be added for severe conditions). It is made from heavy canvas and the base of the poles have a flat piece with holes...
Thanks for the detailed trip report.
We are about to head off from Perth to do much the same as you but just with the extra 5000 km to get to the start point. Will read through to get some ideas and experience of where you went.
Cheers
Geordie
Hi Alex, good to see a few West Ausies on here. I watched your video and the Moore River video, nice work mate.
Also good to see Justin and Jen still have their Patrol, even if they have defected to Britain for a while, that is going to be a hell of a long paddle home.
Hi Craig, do you know if James Baroud make the insulation kit for the E-Space Evolution as it is the sloping shape I got told in Australia that it is not available for my model. Just wondering if it is available in the US or direct from JB.
Cheers
Geordie
