Well, got this Rhino-Rack pioneer platform to fit it replacing the Thule bars, just needed to make the bolt kit.
Perfect to carry the ramps and stuff that is always on the back moving while hitting the dunes.
From some time ago I was looking to replace the steel wheels for lighter ones and finally got a set of them.
In fact they are the same ones that came in the 70 series, wasn't sure about them 'cause they are 7" wide while I always believe 16x8" is the perfect size for a 285/75 (33") tire ... but...
After 105,000kms (65,000 miles) and 6 years one of the rear shocks was getting wet from time to time, so decided to get new ones.
I'm happy with the performance of the Tough Dog foam cell 41mm but this time I'll get the 4" travel shocks 'cause my coils are the heavy duty constant load and...
That's right, in rainy season you need to be very alert on the road 'cause everything could came crashing down from the mounts ... from rocks and trees to the whole side of the mountain.
So again around here ...
After that trip, needed to change all the fluids of the cruiser and luckily the local Toyota dealer had the oil for the H151 (since it's been out of stock for years as retail for customers)
and preparing it for the next road trip.
a good road trip to the Sacred Valley for festivities ... 2,700kms in total (1,690 miles)
gone trough the andes with elevations over 4,200m (13,500ft)
So far the best road trip I’ve ever made
