    Mid-size vs Full-size truck setup

@jaywo Nissan Titan XD Pro-X. Comes with a locker and 2000lb payload. They are between 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton. They are affordable yet simple and comfortable. @PirateMcGee has one. Check out his thread under Nissan.

3.3l ford f150 vs 3.6l ram 1500, which would you rather own?

Thanks. So, it's not necessarily a simple engine even though it's a pushrod engine. Complexity isn't always a bad thing, but it's worth keeping it in mind.

Is this regarding the Ford V6 3.3?

Isn't the 3.6 Penstar has an advantage over the Ford V6 3.3 because of being a pushrod engine? My understanding was that the pushrod engines are more reliable, lighter and smaller too. Would love to hear more about this. Since when Ram puts lockers in their trucks?

good theory as to how it missed the mark.

No, it not just that although it contains those attributes. It's about inbuilt resilience that allows an X to withstand the time and changes. See Taleb's Skin in The Game.

Guys, do you know what Lindy Effect is? If X survives Y years, it can, statistically, survive twice as many later. If the IG survives 5 years it will survive 5 more years. And then maybe even 20 years and later 40 years... Longer it stays longer it will remain. In 5 years the Ineos will have...

    Titan and Titan XD frame

The XD has 2100lb+ payload in the lower trim. I believe the S can have 2350lb. There is nothing like this among the crew cab, 6.5' bed, 4X4 trucks of the other manufactures. You still can find them on the dealer lots, though might not be for long.

What is the number for towing? Yes, for Supercab that payload is not too uncommon. I might be wrong, but I can't name a crew cub with comparable payload

Congratulations! This is a slick looking truck. Is there difference between the riding and handling qualities between this one and the previous one? This is great! It is virtually imposable to find this payload among the crew cab 1500 trucks, including the Tundra.

Any modern US track that's got factory a locker and AT tires can do that. Right from the dealership. There was a dude who drove his bright new GM 1500 3.0 diesel from Seattle to Deadhorse without any issue.

My friend hunts them in western Washington. Her dog points them on the trees if there enough wind. Surprisingly, where she hunts them in the same mountains there are a lot of ruffed grouse but on lower altitude.

good theory as to how it missed the mark.

Yes. I saw quite a few RAM 1500 and F150 in the Nederland and 2 or 3 F250. But the local Ford and Toyota is quite good too. For those who can afford it or tend to be less "practical" they will totally buy it. But most of the middle-class and working-class people will pick a vehicle that is...

Just curios, what is the payload for the UK trucks such as Ford, HiLux etc.?
