Those stoves look bulky to me. I just switched to a msr micro rocket. I can almost hide it in a closed fist not counting the canister. I used to use a coleman white gas stove but realized I never used more than one burner at a time.

Car seats are why I suggested the Xterra. Not to mention the other day to day issues with little ones that your wife is going to ask about. An open backed truck is going to bring up questions about stroller storage. Squeezing into an extended cab pickup isn't going to make her happy either...
