Refrigerator for RAM crew cab backseat

We're looking to add a portable refrigerator to our 2021 RAM crew cab to supplement our FWC Hawk with Dometic CRX-1065. On longer trips we could use more food storage and it would be great if I could keep fish / chicken frozen. The space available is on the hump on the floor since our dog...

Very clean set up. Those solar panel mounts are the bomb. The whole rig must weigh nothing!

    Thinking about dropping the hi-lift

You make a good point. I've owned a first gen '06 Tundra for a decade. The OEM jack has been quite useful in a number of situations. I also carry a hi-lift mounted to my FWC camper, and hydraulic bottle jack. I've had to use all three to get unstuck. Now we're upgrading to a 2021 RAM...

The TARDIS - A Four Wheel Camper Build

Shared your photo on my FB page. Please post some more photos for people to share with side view, rear view, etc. Really a bummer, plus your photo gear! Let's catch this guy.

The TARDIS - A Four Wheel Camper Build

Can we get large photos of your truck and camper, maybe in a dropbox link, so it's possible to post on social media? Really sorry to hear of your loss. Thieves suck.

    $wheel Camper access steps?

We use a very similar step ladder and I agree that it provides a degree of safety. I also find I can use the step ladder for loading kayaks, so there's more utility. But storage is important. When I bought my Hawk, the previous owner was just carrying the ladder loose inside the camper. That...

    Ventless heaters

Catalytic heater venting I have a FWC Hawk that has a built-in furnace. It's noisy and uses up the battery. It's so loud we can't watch a movie on the laptop when it cycles on and off. I plumbed in a Wave 3 which we use instead. It's silent and uses zero battery. I crack the bottom...

The TARDIS - A Four Wheel Camper Build

We just returned from our latest camp out with friends, hauling a large, smelly bag of food garbage in the 12" x 12" aluminum storage box I mounted on the rear of my Hawk. I've learned I can carry a military duffel full of firewood (oak 3-4" diameter logs from the all the downed trees in my...

2006 AC Tundra, 08 FWC Hawk Here's my rig. I got my FWC Hawk in July 2010. Since then it's been a blast with trips to Death Valley (hey Sunni), East Side of the Sierra, Mendocino coast kayaking, Tour of central Nevada, and lot's of shorter trips. I added Ride-Rites and a sway bar to help...

    FWC Newbie Question...

Ditto on mounting and unmounting the FWC per each trip. I might be a bit slower, but I figure 45 mins. to lift the camper off the rolling platform, jack it up, back into it, tighten turnbuckles, take off the jacks, fill up water tank and be ready to go! I can probably unload in half the time.

    FWC & spare tire

Actually, it can be done. I had a last minute issue with mounting my spare 31" BFG below my Tundra/FWC. We used a ladder leaned against the FWC and parked next to a small retaining wall and my girlfriend & I rolled the spare up the ladder onto the roof. Lifting and lowering the top wasn't...

    Winter Pop-up Camper tips...

cold weather camping Well here in California we can only brag about camping down to 10F, which was over the Thanksgiving arctic blast. I have two rolls of 24" wide reflectix that I velcro in place (36" apart tabs) for my FWC pop up. There was ice between the reflectix and the vinyl, but the...
