    Australian Swag

I've got an el cheapo Kings "Big Daddy Delux" swag. I really like it. It's not as well built as something like a Darche, but it suits my needs just fine. Here's a pic of it (the middle one) from a fishing trip last year: We live in the far-north of Aus, so the ability to roll the sides up...

HOTTAP water heater, help me get one shipped to America

I'm not sure why I missed this thread earlier - I'd have been happy to act as mule to re-ship one of these over to you guys. I'm glad Joolca have started selling direct in the US - it's a great unit and I think you'll really like it. I've been saving up for one of the new V2 units.

    Frontrunner antenna mount

Just closing the loop on this one. I mucked with the antenna mount over the Christmas break, but ended up getting frustrated. No matter what I did, I couldn't get it to be loose enough to rotate, but stiff enough to stay in place. So I did what any logical, sensible person would do - I removed...

    Frontrunner antenna mount

Yeah, I know about the tension adjustment. Like I said, I've got it wound all the way up so that it's basically impossible to turn by hand, yet it still manages to rattle down with just normal driving. When you adjust the tension up, does the spring pin sit nicely in the detent holes? Mine sorta...

    Frontrunner antenna mount

I know this is an old thread, but I wanted to add my experience with using the FrontRunner folding UHF Antenna mount. I bought the antenna mount when I put the FR tub rack on the back of the ute. I had my UHF aerial mounted on the roll bar behind the cab and I liked the spot. Happy to accept...

    Alberta Bound & Beyond

Awesome trip report Monte, as always. Thanks for taking the time to write it up - I really appreciate it. Eagerly awaiting the finale. Things I love: Your style of writing. It's super easy to read, it's clear and it's also concise. That's a real skill that most (myself VERY MUCH included) do...

Dreaming of a Perentie Turning an ex ADF 6x6 into an expedition vehicle

No stress Geoff - I hope it helped. I've really enjoyed watching you pull this big girl together. FNQ is perfect this time of the year - the only problem is that apparently I need to work to earn money, instead of just sitting by the pool. Life's just not fair. If you're ever over this way...

Dreaming of a Perentie Turning an ex ADF 6x6 into an expedition vehicle

Great work Carts, as usual. She looks good. If I've understood you correctly, this is the sort of electrical setup you've got: If so, that's basically exactly how I've had my car and camper configured for the past however many years. My solar controller is a Steca, but it should work...

Defender 110 double cab with Isuzu turbo diesel build up...

Very nice. I have a soft-spot for the 110DC's - I almost bought a white Puma from Western Australia a couple of months back. It was very tempting. Keen to see how this one evolves. Also - +1 for the RHD :D Cheers, Matt

Prepping a defender 130 for around the world..

Looks great - coming along very well! I like the intake grill on the Webasto too - good peace of mind. re: this, when I set up my HE shower, I borrowed unwiredadventure's idea from here: http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/43197-On-Board-Hot-Water-Install-for-Shower and plumbed in one...

Fantastic carts! I'll be watching this closely :) Love the "Maximum poof load" sticker :D. Always good to know your load limits. Cheers, Matt

    79 series dual cab build

Nice work Rumpig - that's an awesome "clean slate" base. And it's even in the right colour :). I love the canopy - very well thought-out. I'll send everything you've said about dual cabs bending when overloaded, and the spare tyres seems to be a bit factor in that. Great idea having it so far...
