Thats interesting, because AEV recommends 4.30 gears for their XL models (40 inch) tires with the cummins. The power-wagon forums I have read swear by the 5.38 swap if going to 40's but they are a unique bunch. I guess alot probably depends on if/what you are towing. Beautiful truck, GLWS

Did you regear the axles for the move from 33" to 40" tires?

I don't know about "everyone here is just going to waste your time" (then what are you doing on here Lucidless?)...but he's right --Bozeman is full of trust fund kids with plenty of money who have never turned a wrench in their live. Sweet rig, I hope it finds a deserving home.

Does the tray still allow storage of the spare tire underneath? If not, what do you do in regards to a spare?

Any interest in selling the tray and camper separate of the truck? I’ve also got a 12 power wagon in the same color (mineral gray right?). I would be interested in making the drive and swapping the bed over to yours so you could then sell the truck by itself. I know what you are asking, why not...
