will this work for something like the renogy dc- dc converter? I thought it might. I got the 40a for a solid deal. I already have 6 ga wire, so I thought about just using it. The amperage doesn't really matter to me if it charges at a slower rate. I do not need to use it all the time.
So you would simply connect the aux thermostat to the inverter, which will switch it on and off? Seems like a much more logical option.

If I wanted to be able to remove the aux battery. Would I just put a dash switch between the solenoid and wire that is hot when the key is on?

Right now I just plan to use it for a small inverter in the back. Basically just to charge laptops, phones, run some lights on occasion
