    APB for Stolen 95 RRC

Sorry to hear. I’ll make sure everyone in the Northern California Rover club knows to keep a look out.

    Range Rover Supercharged

You can run 19s if you want to bother with another set of wheels. In fact, there’s a well priced set for sale at the moment in the Sacramento area that were previously used in an 07 RRSC. They are advertised on the NorCal Rover club forum. Let me know if you are close by and interested.

Need to pass a wire from engine to cab 2000 Disco II

I passed a couple of cables through the ECM harness grommet on the right side of the firewall. I cut a couple of slits i. The shape of a cross into the rubber above the existing harness, passed the cables through and then sealed with a little RTV. It’s a good idea to route the cables on the...

    Range Rover Supercharged

I agree with the previous post. Given you have 40 series tyres, I am guessing they may be 22” wheels but otherwise 20”. Either way, you will not have much scope to air down from the normal air pressure without risk of damaging your wheels and popping a tyre or two. I did some of the trails you...

    Drug Dealer?

There’s certainly plenty to do on a truck of this age. I’m currently servicing the supercharger and taking the opportunity to replace coolant hoses, pulleys, belts and temperature sensor while it’s out. During a routine oil change, I thought that I had dropped something inside the supercharger...

    Drug Dealer?

What are you going to use to protect the tank? I have done a lot of off-roading in my 07 RRSC and never hit the transmission or transfer case. I have hit the front subframe many times and the tank. I also use my DIY sliders quite a lot. The tank under shield is actually very strong and I...

    LR4 Factory Locker Swap

Great work! Thanks for the write up and the links. I have the factory locker in my L322 but can now help others source the right parts for their LR4s if they want to go down the same path.

couple of random and general questions

I have an L322 RRSC 4.2 and assume that the alternator will be similar to the Jag 4.4. I purchased a reman unit from eBay which failed after three months. The seller asked for me to return the unit but he never refunded the money. I would t trust a reman unit again since it takes several...

    L322 Overlanding Build and Adventures

The L322 drawer unit shown in this thread is now for sale with pickup in Cupertino, CA. It has functioned wonderfully but I am now transferring my overlanding activities to a D2 so that I can venture further off the beaten path. I will include the swing down hitch mounted tire carrier to...

    ARB Compressor install locations?

Very loud, I would guess. I have an ARB dual compressor mounted in the rear of my D2 and it frightens unaware passengers.

Disco 2 skinny 16" wheels - calling all wheel guru's

Is there anything wrong with using the stock wheels? They are generally very available as people upgrade to aftermarket options. If your anywhere near the SF Bay Area, I have two car sets looking for a new home. Regarding wheel and tyre sizes that fit under the guards, I am running 315/70R17...

Concerns about resetting transmission adaptive values

I forgot to mention the rubber tubes and seals when removing the mechatronic unit. In fact, it’s one of these rubber tubes that leads to the down shift thunk. I did not take the mechatronic unit apart and only replaced the valves and seals plus oil and filter. The transmission is shifting very...

Concerns about resetting transmission adaptive values

I had a thunk for about 70k miles of ownership that only went away when I changed the solenoids. The solenoids eventually failed putting my vehicle into a limp mode. I highly recommend changing the solenoids when any high mileage vehicle has a transmission service, if they have not been...

    D2 powerwall

I used the space for a compressor and Ctek DCDC / solar controller. I added a few 1” holes to the original cover for air flow. The compressor mounting bracket is a simple 12x12x1/4” aluminium plate bolted to the seat attachment points with 1/2” spacers.

    Rank my shopping list

Again, totally agree. The sloping rear on the L322 forced me to make my own storage solution to get the most out of the space. On a side note, the L322 has an internal spare tires. If a larger tire is fitted, a hitch or swing out spare tire carrier will be required. As a result, this opens up...
