    Viair 88P on board air

I finished installation today. I added a rear outlet on a 3D printed bracket, bolted under the homemade subwoofer relocator i had done some years ago. (pictures are inverted due to being taken with the selfie cam) All i need to do is design and 3D print a bracket to hold the air gauge in...

    Viair 88P on board air

well, today i had some free time at my shop, so after some drilling and tapping, i finished the manifold. It has an inlet and 4 outlets, 2 for air hoses, one for another manometer which will be on the dash somewhere, and one for a safety valve. I made a small bracket and bolted it to the...

    Viair 88P on board air

Thanx everyone! I just mounted it under the passengers seat. It fits perfect in that spot bolted to a small bracket i made with some material i had on the shop. I plan on making a manifold to add a safety valve, another gauge to put somewhere in the dash, and a couple outlets. Even though...

    Water container recs/stowage of them...

I was in the same situation as you, and ended up making a rear rack above the tire, with a place to secure the scepter can horizontally, so i can dispose of the water without removing the can. This way, the can wont be misshandled, as it never leaves it place, i secure it empty, fill it in its...

    DIY Heavy Duty Hinges

Thats what i did yesterday. I welded some 1" tubing to the rack mount, which bolts to the hinges. Then, i welded a support for the rack. This made it really solid, and now a lot of weight is taken by the hinges directly and not only by the door. And since i had that space there, i made a...

    Lets talk about camp lights

As I always camp right by the jeep, i put some led strips on the inside of the rear glass door. This weekend i took this pictures while cooking dinner on a camping trip. With the lights OFF: Now, with the lights ON: I took a long led strip and soldered the corners, but now i see there is...

What are your clever storage systems/mods/tricks (aka not drawers)?

I just found this thread, i know its old but im going to post mine. on my JKU, the subwoofer took some cargo space (not my actual picture, but the same) So, i made this relocation box to move it out of the way: And since i had some material left, i made another box for the other side. In...

Cheap tricks and solutions - product modifications, DIY, or repurposed items- not on-sale items

just found this thread, great ideas!! Here is one i saw posted some time ago, i dont remember if it was in this forum or somewhere else. I use a small Actionpacker to store food and cooking supplies. So, drill some holes in the lid, put some elastic cord, and there you have a space to store...

    DIY Heavy Duty Hinges

Thats correct Jscherb, i was thinking about welding or bolting the rack to the hinge, similar to the teraflex, and several others. This way the rack weight would be on the hinge itself. That would be a faster option that the entire bumper and tire carrier. I would really like a rear bumper, but...

    DIY Heavy Duty Hinges

Yes, a rear bumper is next on the list. However i need more spare time that what i have right now to make one. I will start drawing it and hopefully I can make it sooner rather than later. The way the rack is made, i can easily cut it and weld it to the tire carrier without a problem.
