You forgot (4) performance. The power curve and low end grunt of a Diesel engine lend themselves quite well to offroad applications. This is one area where modern diesels win the prize as modern injection systems and turbo charging have given these new engines some legs where the old ones...

Since this is an LRA tank is it safe to assume that all of the typical LRA features found on aussie tanks will be on this one? And whats the total capacity and usable capacity?

Two problems. The Tacoma at the show wasn't a double cab, and the hilux and tacoma dont ahre the same frame, i.e. that one on the website wont fit.
