How are you finding the pedal? how did you figure out ratio etc... I have the option to go factory pedal...
old pre 1996 vans are unibodies... My 1983 G3500 dually was cut in two and stretch few feet and built into B+ RV.... not a true frame but these year van was connected front to the back... seems to be holding up 32 years later...
When I bought my L300 I had planned to convert it to LHD, then I drove it around the block and saw no point in the conversion..... Mine was a 5 speed. Nice little van similar to a 22R for power but in a torquier way...
I never understand why you can buy and ride a motorcycle but your truck must meet these crash test standards..... kind of funny... I cannot take the doors off my Jeep and drive on the street, but I can ride a 150hp motorcycle???
OM617 is a great motor you have never driven one clearly. Cast iron mechanical injection. you can bump start the automatic (yes the automatic can be pull started) and need zero power to run it. I am not sure why it is outdated? 100% reliable and indestructible... Returns MPG that new...
I bought a hightop off an old Dodge $200.00. Cut it into 1/4 re-glassed it back together. Cut the roof off my Delica and riveted it on. What I learned was my cuts way nicer than the factory that installed the hightop on the dodge.

I put one in a Jeep FC170.... I think if I added it up I would have been at $1500-2000 for the motor swap.... I ran the stock Merc-automatic to a divorced NP205.... Love love love that motor...
