Build: Ram 3500 and Aluminum/Composite Expedition Camper

We did not make any money on YouTube when we started this build and that was never the intent. We love the overland community and wanted to contribute. If a picture is worth 1,000 words then a video is worth 1,000,000. It's really difficult to write a concise and informative forum post and we...

The admins of this forum threatened to ban my account if I didn't pay to be a vendor because they said I was advertising my business. I disagree with them, and it really killed my motivation to continue updating this thread or to maintain it. Maybe someday when I have some free time I'll fix the...

Our Full Time Off Grid Power System

Thanks for the feedback, the battery cable configuration is done in accordance to the Renogy instructions for the batteries. The BMS are able to communicate with the rj45 connectors and equalize.

Our Full Time Off Grid Power System

We have been using our electrical system for 6+ weeks of full time in the cold and I have been impressed! It was extremely easy to set up and just flat our works. We used Renogy components for the battery/charger/inverter side of things and Blue Sea for everything else. This is the bench...

2020 Ram 5500 DIY Composite Panel Camper Build Thread

You likely already have one. On our 2015 3500 I just turn cruise control on and then hit set and it idles up to 1200 RPM. Try it! The Cummins documentation I have read says block heater recommended below 0F, but not required until -20F. I've had no issues starting as low as -7F. I tried to get...

Build: Ram 3500 and Aluminum/Composite Expedition Camper

Time for an update! We have been on the road full time for 6 weeks now. The build ended up taking us 2.5 months total to complete. We spend $20,000 in material. Life on the road has been great! Most of our time thus far has been skiing but we are looking forward to warmer temps and less snow so...

Finally finished my "not drawers" cargo solution for the GX470 that mounts to the 3rd row seat mounts...

Wow this is such a simple solution and well executed. I think this will be a future project for Courtney's 470! Thanks for sharing.

Build: Ram 3500 and Aluminum/Composite Expedition Camper

I'm still here! I hope to update this thread eventually, I just don't have time at the moment. We live in a very dry climate. I occasionally spray it down with some WD40 and that's sufficient. It has rusted a little bit, but I don't really have a choice. I don't have space inside or under a...

Awesome recommendation, I hadn't seen that option before. Do you personally use Google Fi? Do you find the service to be great? I have considering switching to Fi a few times but I currently have Verizon locked into a GREAT rate (by Verizon standards) and I'm a little uneasy about losing that...
