    HELP! Power wagon or Cummins?

If you're looking to use a truck bed camper, you probably want to build your own Power Wagon (choose diesel or gas, whichever you prefer). the Power Wagon in stock form is very low on payload and won't be sufficient for a truck bed camper, at least not without significant upgrades. As a former...

Falken Wildpeak AT/3W - anyone running them? Opinions?

I also had the cooper AT3s before the Wildpeaks, and I can't say I was impressed. The wildpeaks were much cheaper for me, and have been amazing all around. They've developed a little road noise now that I've got probably 30k or so on them, but nothing offensive and I don't really notice it...

what to do with the trailer hitch and the wiring ? the hitch came with the new 07 toyota avensis 2lt d4d

Fair. I didn't really look up a picture of the car, but if he's taking it camping and that entails using it offroad at all (not sure if AWD or not) then it still could be a concern. As for trying to run something off the wiring, is it just a 4 pin connector? If it were a 6 or 7 pin, you could...

what to do with the trailer hitch and the wiring ? the hitch came with the new 07 toyota avensis 2lt d4d

I wouldn't be so fast to remove it. Get a hitch mounted skid plate instead. chances are good that if the hitch is dragging and you remove the hitch, you'll be dragging or scraping something else instead.

Max sized inverter from a cigarette lighter plug

I'm not sure what you're looking to power exactly, but I've had both the 1000w and 2000w under the driver seat of my ram 2500 (not at the same time). The 1000w (or 1500w) would be a great fit. The 2000w is tight, but it fits. I ran two 0 or 00 gauge wires (they were some bulk jumper cable that...

Need help choosing new truck tire

I'm going to jump on this bandwagon. I have them. I am very pleased with them. Low noise, good off road, pick up less gravel than a typical AT tire and are mountain snowflake rated, if that matters to you.

so with the FCIIs gone, whats the new hotness for A/T with epic winter performance?

Yeah, they've been an upgrade in every way to my cooper at3s. Maybe slightly more road noise, but even that's debatable.

so with the FCIIs gone, whats the new hotness for A/T with epic winter performance?

The Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws are mountain snowflake rated. I just had mine put on and they've done great in the wet and on the beach, but I haven't had a chance to try them out in the snow as of yet. Great tire though so far and a 55k mile warranty.

Looking to lift a new purchase - Dodge B3500 Van

The air ride is likely what will make it difficult. You might find that you have to ditch this for standard springs before you can really use a lift kit. If the compromise in ride quality is worth the extra ground clearance gains, then that might be something you want to look in to.

The Need for a Lock and Roll Hitch When Overlanding

They just serve as a combo so that you can tow ball trailers and pintle trailers with one hitch. You leave the pintle part up when using a trailer with a ball.

2004 Powerstroke Excursion 6.0 Must do mods?

These motors for sure have their issues, and I'm more of a Cummins guy myself, but I've been tempted by the excursion a few times. I would think a fire department truck would be a pretty safe bet as the odds of it being tuned or pulling hard and heavy its whole life are pretty slim. My dad has...

    01-06 Suburban/Yukon XL 2500

I just traded in my 2000 Tahoe (it was the newer, rounded body style). It served me well for the time I had it. It had just over 185000 on the clock when I sold it. The only things to really watch out for on these trucks is the fuel pump likes to burn itself out, particularly if you run the tank...
