I put a 300 tdi in my '91 Range Rover last winter, also put the R380 in. I average around 26 mpg with 2" lift and 235/85 tires, seems pretty good to me compared to the V8. I didn't base my decision on economics, I just like diesel motors, and they are dirt simple compared to the V8. The power...
