Have you had to deal with any rust on your rockers? Right now I am trying to decide between cutting them out and welding in rectangular steel and using the http://spadanoenterprises.com/-wj--grand-cherokee.html rocker/sliders
I haven't had a chance to get mine setup yet,so I couldn't tell ya. I would do a google search for it and see if you can find the specs anywhere. Or maybe call ARB and ask them for the details.
Well looks like the red devil has attacked my rockers. has anyone ever cut out the rockers and weld 2x6 tubular steel in its place? I have seen a couple posts else where of people cutting everything out and adding 2x6x1/4" steel in its place. Fixes the problem and adds instant sliders. Just...
I got mine for $200 from a forum member on a different site. Worked fine till I bought my awning. Now I'm going to make it longer to cover the complete roof.
I was thinking about bed liner or that high temp grill paint that isn't supposed to rust or scratch. As for the por15 only reason it's an option is because I'm doing the undercarriage with it.
Now as for that Cali rack if I did end up with it I'd probably use it instead of mine lol.

I have an old Wilderness rack currently mounted on my WJ. It dimensions are roughly 44.5"X52"X4". I am going to be extending it so it is 73" long instead of 52". I have a couple questions for you guys. First here is a link to a newer version for a Cherokee, looks the same so the image will...
Could weld or bolt a piece of 1/4" plate to the outside of the rack. Depending on how big you make it you can control the height of where the awning sits. I think a solid piece of plate would hold up.
Agreed. I ended up getting it from OK4wd. The only reason I am asking about thickness is I can weld plate directly to my rack and have integrated mounts for it. I an currently building an extension for the same rack and figured I might as well add in the mounts.
