Sorry, I dont post much here but I have to correct this "If Superwinch had a flagship winch, the X9/S9 were it" They did have a flagship winch, the Husky. It was/is one of the best made winches of all time. The X9 was/is still great a winch though.

Not a local, but I slammed fish in Telluride right on the river walk along the san miguel. Most people in the town will tell you to drive a bit for far better fishing, which is true, but I did not have a vehicle.

Hell of a trip! There's some good smallmouth fishing on the salmon river in the summer, but not much else. Hit the small rivers that flow into the winooski when you're going into Montpelier VT
