I just found this thread and thought I'd post. It is amazing how big the GX community is getting! I have an '06 with a bit done to it. It has seen a lot of different set-ups in the past 5 years, but I think I'm finally getting close to a point where I think it is almost done. We've had it all around Canada, Idaho, Montana, California, Utah, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, and Arizona, and we are very happy with it. You often see us towing a Turtleback Trailer with it.

Mine is going in this week for a trailer hitch & window tinting finally. Things I've wanted to add since the day I brought her home!

Next month or 2 will see a fresh set of all terrains as well, the current yokohama YTX will be replaced by the new yokohama geolandar g015.

With winter over it feels nice to be able to get started modifying Kiichiro. I pulled the trigger on the Fuel Tech Wheels in the Anthracite finish. These are a new design and I went with the 17"s over the 20"s for the occasional offroad use and comfort factor. Plus 17"s don't hit your wallet as much as 20"s do. For tires my original choice was the Nitto Ridge Grappler, an excellent rated tire that I was confident would get me anywhere. In the end however I stayed with the tried and tested KO2 in a 285/70/17 size. I get some minor rubbing but once the Dobinson lift is installed that'll go away. All in all I'm really impressed. With the Dobinson installed I hope to knock out the JDM stuff. 508857508858508861508864508865Cheers!

That looks nice! Has anybody tried a 275/60/18 in place of the stock 265/60/18? It isnt on the tried & true list at GXOR, but it seems like it might work... An extra 10mm on each side of the truck but only 6mm taller right?

After checking out the usual other sites & the lexus owners forum, it seems many have tried 275/65 & several have asked my same question regarding the 275/60, but without any response. For those who have experienced "the rub" is it related to width or height of the tire? Or both? I might have to just try it & find out I guess...

275/65R18 on stock height with no rub during normal driving. Haven't taken it off-road yet, but I would expect some possible rubbing at full lock/flex, but could easily be remedied with a heat gun on the wheelwell liners.

Where are yall mounting your trailer brake controllers? Trying to find an out of the way spot that is still accessible

Well the Yokohama G015 are all mounted up, size 275/60/18 & they have absolutely no rubbing issues. Not the best looking tire I've ever bought, but I know we dont buy tires cuz they're pretty!
