When I bought the Jeep it had 120k miles on it and the front and rear end needed a lot of service work,instead of upgrading the existing axles I sold them and put money towards a brand new set of dana 60 axles,this gave me huge brakes ,way strong axles,gears bearings etc and a lot of peace of mind when getting away from civilization .I spent the majority of my money with reliability and strength in mind before comfort and aesthetics .Ive been building off-road rigs for my self and friends for over 25 years and I tend to be hard on equipment ,I used to build in stages and knew that I did not want to do the stages this time .Its still a work in progress but I did a lot in a short time when I first got the Jeep .very happy so far and after 30k plus miles and many wheeling trips she has served me well . body damage is the worst that has happened but I’ve always been able to get back on the highway and drive like nothing happened.

Very cool build. A little overkill for my needs, but I love the 40's. I built mine for scenic trails, but with the ability to do tougher trails.
