I have a little more trimming to do here in there and I really don’t like the way the front part of the fender looks but it is street drivable for now. 31CECD98-45E0-442D-97B6-99B594708828.jpegD51422E1-3951-4FA0-BCD1-C501C23FF929.jpeg

Initial impressions of the ******** Cepek trail country EXP 315/75r16
For being a aggressive AT these things are quiet , small amount of road noise but no annoying droning or MT type whomp whomp whomp noise .
Turning seems no different and with the light tire and wheel combo acceleration seems almost the same , I can still accelerate from 55 in 6th with no issues and driving up the hill to my house is still effortless in 3rd .
It hopefully might snow and freezing rain tonight so I can hopefully give a update on that .

After doing a little wine tasting with the fiancé we headed up into the hills to try out the tires . They did fairly well considering I only aired down to 18 and they only had 100 miles on them so not really broken in yet . I did air them down to 12 for some deeper snow and they acted a lot better 5347E5FB-D52D-400A-92F8-738F8B3E301A.jpeg75A60702-C667-42D5-AD48-364E0D8092F8.jpeg63B55C38-7896-4D92-8B0F-52351CB9E9A8.jpeg092E9774-10DD-4AB3-ACA8-26015D694279.jpeg077C52F3-BB7E-4548-81FE-1C0E75BDC23F.jpeg

Little update ,
Have about 700 miles on the tires now •Still happy with the road noise , you know they are there but it’s not annoying
•Drives and corners great
•second trip out in the snow they worked way better ,think I finally wore off the releasing agent or whatever it’s called that’s on new tires
• they work well at 12psi but think I may have to go to 8 to get them to really squat in the snow .
• mileage has dropped to 16 mpg on the freeway

Over the weekend the Fiancé had been down with the flu for the last couple days and that’s not normal considering she hasn’t been sick in 7 years even though she works in home heath care ( must be the probiotics and red wine ) but she really wanted to get out of the house so we just went for a relaxing drive up the clackamas River to explore a couple of backroads we have never been down before all while letting the great narration of Jim Dale fill our ears ... seriously if you have never listen to the Harry Potter audio books you are missing out on the talent of one amazing book reader , he puts so much depth and verity into a reading it’s actually quite amazing. On our little drive we saw some waterfalls , a bit of snow and some chunks of water pipe used for a waterline that if I had to guess where 10’ in diameter and stretch a good 15 miles.all in all a nice couple hours spent away from home . On a side note I need to get a little better about taking pictures and maybe having my better half write about our outing because tobe honest I have the writing skill of a horriblytrained baboon.9A49F40D-5961-4BEF-9BCC-887067D63D72.jpegF6FB0136-11C3-4F84-AF4E-E238D7FE48EE.jpegFE892F49-8DB7-44DB-90CD-65B4498B1E1C.jpeg889EDD64-78F6-41E2-9743-42118E00FAA2.jpeg

Had to run some stuff up to Washington for work and it gave me a chance to finally figure out my straight freeway driving . 374 miles most of it at 75 I still managed 17mpg . Win for the light tire and wheel combo . 5FA50E26-24FA-445D-B811-C239EB4CED31.jpeg132CB721-7027-4496-91B7-49E4FFE76EFD.png

Truth. Was listening to it on our last trip out to the ski mountain and back. I like the bumper trim and fog light relocation. Based on the rest of the work you've done, I'm sure it'll turn out pretty good.

These tires are quite stiff , I find 26psi on the road to be a good spot to let the tire make full contact with the road
