OP - question about the hiker trailer offroad axle setup
Hello - beautiful trailer and rig! I am wanting to build something similar. I was wondering if you could see if your axle/suspension has any part numbers or info on it? I am hoping to order something similar. I like the simplicity of...
I was wondering what type of camp chairs you all use and recommend? I am rebuilding my expo/overland trailer and I'm planning the storage compartment sizes. One of those is ear-marked for camp chairs. I'd like to buy something new and make the compartment to fit them.

not mine. I live in the same down as this guy. looks cool and thought someone here could build this into a sweet round-the world, offroad camper rig. wish I had money or something to trade for this, and time to build it and drive it around the world...

Alan!!! I should have thought to just send you the link! That's great! OF COURSE you can post here! I would love to follow along and what all the improvements you make! On the first post of this thread there is a link to an old blog I kept while building the original trailer as well. So...
Well, I sold the trailer to Alan, from Arvada, CO today! Good luck Alan. I wish you many fun times in your new rig. I hope you conquer some awesome trails and make some fun memories with your family.

Price reduced to $3000.
Here is the sequence to setup camper. Pretty easy. I can do it myself in about 5 minutes.
Step 1. Release draw latches x4 on lid. Stand on platform, set lid on top of walls.
Step 2. Setup ladder on end of trailer, lift up lid, pull up end wall (gas strut assisted)...
used the trailer again this weekend. 230 mile road trip, performed flawlessly. Went on some pretty tough 4x4 trails and worked great. Some photos
Things I have to add or change:
- quick release mounts for ladders
- lighter holster inside kitchen box for quick access
Made our first trip with the new setup. Been raining in Colorado for nearly 6 weeks every day, overcast all day. No fun for camping, but we needed to get out and do something. We checked the weather all over Colorado, Salida was the only place showing a high above 60deg and sunny, besides far...

Put on a bottle opener. Decided on the outside so I have easy...
