I think the F150 had a larger interior cab room, no doubt
I occasionally do miss the 6.5' bed......but the tiny Silverado bed is also nice for trails and parking
I think the F150 rode a tad stiff, mostly of which I attribute to those terrible 20" tires
I am very glad my Silverado came with...
The gas mileage is a lot better than my 3.5L Eco F150
6 speed trans
Steady 13.5 mpg in the winter and 15.5 mpg the rest of the time
8 speed trans
17.8 mpg city and 18.7 highway
I realized I never took off the negative cable on the battery when I previously installed the ported intake manifold
I have been debating taking it off and installing the stock part
After talking with the porting owner......i took the negative cable off and let it sit for 30 min
I ran Toyo 37s on my daily driven old 2004 Dodge Ram Quad Cab 3500 (Long Bed), with the Cummins motor
They wore great, but the sidewalls were really stiff with the 20" setup I had (20x10)
The 13.50 wide tire was a MUCH better fit, in my opinion with the 37s
Anyone know what the factory battery size or any specs on it?
Advanced Auto says that either the H6 r H7 is an exact fit
Both are the same price and I have a $50 off battery coupon
DieHard Platinum AGM:

Good info on the 8 speed:
MAX HP: 650
MAX TQ: 635
Fluid: Dexron High Performance
Looking at the TSB for harsh and odd shifting, I called my dealership. Its not a recall so I would have to pay GM for the service? Nah...
I was checking some things under the hood this morning
A quick disconnect line (vacuum or breather?) going to the intake manifold, on the driver side of the motor wasn't fully seated and wasnt snapped into place over a fitting
Likely my error when I swapped intake manifolds.......I'll see how...
2018 trucks must have diff programming and or sensors
I just installed a ported throttle body, ported intake manifold and a cold air intake on my friends 2018 5.3L Denali
The check engine light keeps popping on and it's throwing codes
Runs great with more power, just trying to figure it out...
Trying to decide what exhaust system I want to get...……...I want a single rear pipe (rear tire, pass side exit), not a fan of the dual split pipe look
Gibson #5656 (Dual sport).....aluminized (3" pipe / 2.25" pipe)
Gibson #65663 (Dual sport)…...stainless (3" pipe / 2.25" pipe)
Even though this motor takes 8 quarts of oil......I will never complain
The oil change was so easy and clean!!!
Kudos to GM for making the oil filter and Oil drain plug easily accessible!!!
100 times better than the PITA oil change in my old Eco F150!!!
