Last pods delivered! All that's left it to mount the bumper and wire everything up!
We'll see how everything throws after that, what's nice about Baja Designs and Diode Dynamics is that all the lenses are swappable, so if I change my mind I can change any of the patterns or swap from yellow to...
Trucks been down for a little getting some front end rework done after someone decided to fender bender me. Thankful they could get me in once again and did some good work on her!
Will be happy to have her back on the road with a fresh facelift! Just need to snag a few more pods! DD+Baja make a...
Is that new? Been a while since I've been up that way.
Camp setup is pretty much dialed in to where I want it, camp shower, bug net, propane fire pit all worked great on the trip!
Trying dumb things so you don't have to! Worked better in my head, a pain to setup but it would sure beat mosquito bites.
Nice to have a 9' safe area. Also looking at pop-up shelters too.
Pretty easy with the 1st Gens, most people go for the newer look.
I could swap my 2004 tacoma front end for a 98~ era front end easily. Could likely find someone to trade with too.
4Runner front end to 2000+ Taco (really like these)
1st gen Taco to 2nd Gen
For this one yeah, I've got an 18Gal tank and RV water pump in place. Some come with the pump, others have it built in.
Can also just plumb it in to a normal home or camp site hose spigot as well.
After years of floating ideas on hot water for the ring, I pulled the trigger on a tankless water heater instead of a heat exchanger with engine coolant. It works flawlessly! No more cold dishwashing or showers! ️
Easily taps into my propane and water tank. Ready for the next field test!
Upgrade on the truck today. New lowers with 1" uniball conversation. Steering is super tight and significantly stronger! Removed a good amount of play. Will also be much easier and cheaper swapping the uniball than having the LBJ modified every time to work with the heim steering.
This was the...
Yeah thinking long term I want a medium that can handle the dirt roads, I would expect these to wear down over time and hopefully not damage the burner... maybe a base of fire wool?
With the more frequent fire restrictions every year I decided to pick up a portable gas fire pit, already had a propane tank to match it with.
Unboxed it for a quick test and everything seems to work great!
Added some juice to my solar setup. Picked up a hood solar panel that puts our around 70watts (under the advertised 85w..), also snagged a 100w fold-able panel in case I'm camped in the shade or for an extended length. In total running about 370w, less when in camper is deployed.
Getting dialed in! New aux changing, shower room and/or outhouse. Goes up in second and I don't even need to fold it up as it stows away on the top of the flippac saves having everyone climb up into the camper to change.
Man, he even got a sponsor!
Got a chance to test everything out, overall great shade solution, for the solar everything folded over fine when I deployed the camper, oddly enough still got some charge off them.
