    My 2001 Pathfinder (R50 ) mild/budget build

Have you checked your wheel bearings, especially the inside ones? Had mine fail but didnt make any noise. Just suddenly would get a massive shaking at about 60mph. You very well could have a strut failing causing a funky bounce as the weight shifts around.

Well, the rear sway sounds like our usual rear link bushings. The added dip and lean. Could be the way the extra weight on the back bumper is being handled?

    My 2001 Pathfinder (R50 ) mild/budget build

Thats pretty freaking sweet dude! (Total 90s flashback) Honestly, even deciding to just sell the plans, or fair license them would be awesome. (If fair license is the term I'm looking for. Something along the lines of; Here are the plans. You may use them to build your own. But not for profit...

    Rebelord's 2004 R50 Path to Moab

I went to the local 4 Wheel Parts "Beat the Heat" today. I won $125 in gift cards and a SmittyBilt 2780 air compressor. Which I plan to hard mount and remote mount a air tank. Just need to wire it up. I would like to wire it as a relayed on off. Just have to figure out how to wire that. I am...

    Rebelord's 2004 R50 Path to Moab

Just a few updates. Installed extended rear brake line. 25" vs stock 15" so I dont break it. Also put in rear 1" spacers to move level out the truck. Next up on the list is rebuilding the CVs with better boots and brakes. Also will be installing my CB soon.

    Aluminum vs Steel Skid Plates

My front skid is made from 1/4" aluminum. Works great. Many others use the same one. No issues that I've seen. I made a center skid out of some 1/8" diamond plate aluminum. Not great for sliding across rocks. But the one time I high centered on a rock it did its job. For that I am grateful...

Not worried about scratching them. Already have scratches from PO as they did take it off road in the upper NE. Sent from fat fingers on S6

    My 2001 Pathfinder (R50 ) mild/budget build

I've daily driven on my mud STT tires. Nope wouldn't do a road trip in them. But was thinking either AT3 or ST MAXX Sent from fat fingers on S6

    My 2001 Pathfinder (R50 ) mild/budget build

Not sure which trails. Probably the green and blue for goneMoab next year. Plus the whole 5500miles round trip there and back. So I'm thinking a AT tire. But would want to move to a higher load range. The advantage I have is that I can take the tri spoke 16 off my 99 to use on my 04. Sent...

Question for you folks that venture out west. For my trip to Moab next year. Swap to 16s or stay with stocker 17s? Sent from fat fingers on S6

    Rebelord's 2004 R50 Path to Moab

I'd say the IronMan are softer. But both ride very good if not better than stock. The OME ride more truck like. The IronMan are firmer than stock but ride smoothly. Hard to describe. Right now it looks like the rear of the 99 sits higher. But need to get them side by side. The 04 is...

    Rebelord's 2004 R50 Path to Moab

The angle and that parking area. If you put a level on the body lines. They are spot on level. Looks off I know. Probably because the front arch opening are naturally higher than the rears. Was thinking of adding a spacer on rear to make it more natural looking. Sent from fat fingers on S6

As I tell others on NPORA. 4x4parts.com is 10mins from my work. They do charge outlandish for shipping. I can probably USPS flate rate most items for heck of a lot cheaper. Sent from my Moto X

Very fun trip! Sounds like you had a blast! Plus you got to learn about the Pathfinder and its capabilities. Which, as stock these are quite capable. I've never wheeled in snow. Always been in mud in NC or down here in So. Flo or the desert sand and rocks out in AZ-CA-NM etc. I would advise...

Ok. Same tires then. The fact that it seems to not want to auto center. Makes me think its something to do with the rack. Either it has a seal going, which makes it weak; because it bleeding off pressure. Or the bushings are letting it slide side to side.

Caster is not adjustable on the R50. Camber, rockauto and other places sell the camber bolts with up to 2_2.5° of adjustment. May need those. As for the steering wheel not centering. Sounds like a the rack and pinion. With that, what shape are your rack mount bushings in? If those are worn...

As said on NPORA, CV axle(s). Did you put spacers on top of your struts with the AC lift? If so, take em out until the springs settle down. Or, someone on NPORA made limiting straps, if your handy could make some to effectively lower the front lift until they settle.
