New here in need of some direction

I also think adding 4x4 would be a lot more expensive than finding one already with it. It's up to you to know if you really even need the 4x4. If you can deal with 2wd and a locker and lift you will save a ton of money and open up a bigger van market to choose from. You can get a van that is...

New here in need of some direction

You will find that the Ford has way better support for parts for camper stuff. Chevy, especially earlier ones, are very limited. Most builders do Fords. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

See if any of the hella Euro h4 units will fit. They work well and are a reasonable price. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Side ladders are stupid: CHANGE MY MIND

I just saw hinge mounted steps for wranglers and thought that would be great on the side barn doors. Haven't looked at it to see if it would actually work though - that first step might be too high to bother with the idea. I do have a step that hooks to the door striker that helps for getting...

Side ladders are stupid: CHANGE MY MIND

Anyone remember seeing the side mount ladder that pivots at the top and has the ability to push in at the bottom? It pulls out to give more "toe" space for climbing the ladder and tucks in tight when not in use. I can't remember which company built it though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Any issues installing the UCAs? Were you able to get castor within spec?

Oh I think you are right that it won't work to test it like that. It takes a 120rpm difference to get it to lock up. Otherwise it is like an open differential. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just try to spin a rear tire next time you have it off the ground. See if they go the same direction or opposite. Same equals the limited slip. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just built into the differential. It's just a limited slip, not a selectable locker. So nothing to see. I thought it might list it out in the vin decoder under the equipment section. Bummer it doesn't.

Try plugging the VIN in here https://chevroletforum.com/forum/vindecoder.php. The equipment seems to all be listed out. But a shot of the RPO sticker is def another sure way to tell.

Anyone have experience with Fox shocks vs Bilstein on our AWD vans? Agile says they have fitment for Fox but I have to wonder if they are worth double the cost? I've had OEM Bilstein's on a TRD Tundra but no other experience and none with Fox. My van is primarily a pavement queen with...

Integrate Goal Zero 400 Lithium into existing camper house battery

I recently picked up a Yeti 400 and decided to go non-lithium just for this reason. The additional weight is a bummer but the ease of charging in the van while on the road seemed more beneficial. It's a shame that info isn't well known.

    Power vent window motor retrofit?

Has anyone looked into using the rear vent window motors from a Chrysler Town and Country on their tilt out windows? I sure would like having the rear door and side tilt out windows be power actuated! I haven't looked too deep yet at how they are controlled. I assume they have limit switches...

I'd also be worried the 2500 bags are too beefy for my needs. I don't know much about them - would you just run them at very low pressure to only get an extra 1k capacity? The Airlift system is "Up to 5,000 lbs. of load-leveling capacity" which seems like way overkill.
