My M1101 and M1102 Buying Experience and Build Thread

I think you are asking the width of the soft top bows? They are all the same size. The trailer is approximately 85 3/4" wide to the outside. The Bows are approximately 81.5" wide to the inside of the pipe. I hope that helps,

My M1101 and M1102 Buying Experience and Build Thread

I have no experience with export or where to get one in Canada? I will leave that for others to answer. I would assume it would be important to get one that was already Titled in the USA, as I did on mine.

My M1101 and M1102 Buying Experience and Build Thread

I'm glad it helped. I know auctions and forms can scare off most, so I wanted to share my entire experience in exact detail. I hope more people will buy straight from auction rather than people buying them to resell. I bought 4 total, and sold the extras barely over cost. I sold the last one at...

My M1101 and M1102 Buying Experience and Build Thread

Sorry I've been away. I haven't gotten any reply notifications from expedportal, and just now checked in. The M1101/M1102 trailers are big in size, but in no way hard to haul or heavy. Since most of the trailer is Aluminum, with the exception of the Chasis (Chromoly Steel), it is very light...

Solar Setup for 5th Gen 4Runner w/ GOBI Roof Rack, QUESTIONS

It's funny, but I actually read your entire build thread about 3 days ago. I've been reading every post with "Solar" in it until 3-4am for the last few nights. I love the Deck Plate mod you did, and I have one coming from Amazon thanks to you. I never thought of running two fuse blocks, but...

Solar Setup for 5th Gen 4Runner w/ GOBI Roof Rack, QUESTIONS

I have been trying to figure this out on my own without bothering you guys, but I have been reading and studying about solar setups on this forum for 2 weeks, and still don't completely understand everything. I have been an ExpedPortal contributor with my M1101 trailers, but electrical doesn't...

    M1102 potential build W/ Jeep JK 2dr

I'm not a Jeep person, but it pulls easy behind my 2010 Toyota 4Runner with a V6. The weight is 1,500 lbs, but I love the "Big Scary" HMMWV wheels/Tires. I have found that most people (even in heavy Dallas Traffic) let me into traffic cause it still looks military, or because it is big and...

My M1101 and M1102 Buying Experience and Build Thread

I know there are other posts where people discuss that, but I have no knowledge of it. It's one thing I haven't done any research on because I love the HMMWV wheels and tires. Sorry I can't help, but I'm glad the rest of my thread helped you! Thanks for looking,

    M1101 2009 trailer build

I saw that, and that is where I originally planned on mounting my plate, but this is where I have my plate mounted. I'd rather not remove and store my plate/bracket every time I put my trailer up on legs. Also, it's impossible to light the plate way out there. I am about to add a plate light...

My M1101 and M1102 Buying Experience and Build Thread

Like I said, I plan to spot weld the threads to the barrel nuts so it can not be removed from the shank. I will wait until I replace the 1' steel chains with stainless steel chains so I won't every have to replace or repaint the chains. That should solve it.

2009 Silver Eagle M1102 Hum-Vee Trailer, Like New (Kansas City) $1750

I completely agree, but there are rules to this Forum, including minimum posts before spamming the site with items for sale. And offering the same items on multiple sites at different prices is inappropriate, and deserves being called out.

My M1101 and M1102 Buying Experience and Build Thread

My Perfect Hitch Setup! I wanted a hitch to meet two criteria. I wanted something big to protect my rear bumper in slow moving traffic and parking lots. I wanted some adjustable and safe, that meets the needs of any trailer I plan to pull. Also, I wanted it to look ************ and intimidating as a...

Thanks for the encouragement to add a much needed update. I've been taking photos, and waiting for a chance to write up an update. I have Bronchitis, so now is the time! I joined the Bynum, Texas VFD. My Brother has been a member for a while, so it will be great to respond to calls together. I...

2009 Silver Eagle M1102 Hum-Vee Trailer, Like New (Kansas City) $1750

He failed to mention how much he sold it for, but at least he didn't sell it to anyone on this forum at that price. In the end, he probably sold it to someone for a huge chunk of their pension. LOL

Minor update Sorry I haven't done much lately, but I have some exciting news! I joined a Volunteer Fire Department in need, and that has kept me quite busy. Since my 4Runner has become a POV emergency vehicle, I have switched my focus to mods for my pull vehicle, and I haven't done that much to...

My M1101 and M1102 Buying Experience and Build Thread

Got 2x more trailers! Well, I did the unthinkable... I sold the first 2x trailers and bought 2x more in even better condition. Both the first trailers had minor cosmetic issues, and it just bugged me. One had a lot of dents inside the bed, and the other had a dent on the outside. I already...

Very nice idea, but since I plan on keeping the Military wheels/tires, I am going to make the final adjustments at the lunette drop shaft. I have seen it done one before, and it is perfect. If I ever change my mind, the Lunette insert is replaceable.

My M1101 and M1102 Buying Experience and Build Thread

Got a new 4Runner to pull my trailer! I just purchased a Black 2010 Toyota 4Runner Limited 4x4 to pull my trailer. It already has a lift and 32" tires, so I should be doing pretty well. I am waiting on the last hitch related item, and I will update with a very in depth replay about everything...

8 Lug Compatible Wheels I've been looking for some Chevy or Dodge 8 Lug (8x6.5" pattern) wheels to replace the HMMWV wheels. As I drove past a new/used tire store, I thought I'd stop and see if they had any 8 Lug Wheels that would fit. Sure enough, they had a set of Aluminum Hummer H2 wheels...
