    Outback as backroad camp vehicle?

I've had a great deal of off road experience in our 2013 Outback. We drove it approximately 2500 miles off road and put 156000 trouble free miles on it. We got tho shock the people in the Pink Jeep tours out of Sedona on Schnebly Hill road, and the Subie handled it with aplomb. We slept in the...

    2012 Subaru Outback

This car is perfect for a light expo build. It has 123K miles, and NO oil burning issues. We are getting ready to start our full time travels in the van, and unfortunately have to sell it. It is a black Limited edition with the Harmon Kardon stereo, leather, and the 2.5i engine. No...

    The $3,000 Sportsmobile project

Thats a great deal! Fixing severe rust can be a #$%&!. It might be easier to find a similar rust free van, and swap over the SMB and 4wd parts. The value would jump dramatically! Rust is the issue no one wants to deal with.

Awning Brackets for E Series vans SOLD!

I have a set of the awning brackets for an E Series van. These came off a van my friend had that never left the garage after he started his build. He mounted the brackets but never got an awning. These are like new, and are the ones made by 1der on the Sportsmobile forum. Just a few scratches...

    First freeze of the season

Tonight we are supposed to have our first freeze. It’s supposed to get down to 30 degrees with 20-25 mph winds. The next day and following week are supposed to be mild, so I really don’t want to drain and blow out the plumbing on my SMB yet. The tank and plumbing are all inside the cabin except...

    Air spring install

The main issue I find is the quigley conversion uses a lift block on the rear with a inward facing ear for the bumpstop. Most of the kits look as if they’re made to mount with the axle directly below the springs. I don’t want to order several kits to get one that actually fits. Chris...

    Air spring install

I’ve been wanting to install some air springs on the rear axle so I can have some adjustability for varying loads. I have a 2004 e350 Quigley SMB. It looks pretty tight back there. It’s about 6” from the spring plates to the top of the frame. Any suggestions? Most of the kits I see are for...

    Vehicle Security

I had a Ravelco system installed. It was about $500, but after seeing the installation, I can see how there has NEVER been a Ravelco equipped vehicle stolen when the key was removed. It physically interupts multiple circuits, (you don't know which ones), and it would take many hours to track...

    Garmin Overlander

Mine finally arrived. I know it's pricey, but it's exactly what I've been looking for. The ability to integrate wireless cameras, and my inreach pretty much sold it. Plus, I love the magnetic connector. When I get it permanently mounted, it will be very easy to remove the thief attractor...

    Need suggestions on fiberglass top

If you're only going to be using it as a weekender, and are on a budget, I'd say do it as long as you mind the caveats above. Also, get an awning so you have some covered standing room if it's raining. If you're going to be regularly be staying in it for days at a time, wait for a 24". Being...

    UJOR Build Thread

Do you know if that tank would fit without the lowered floor and body lift? I looked on their website, and saw nothing for E series. I guess they just do pickup trucks now.

    UJOR Build Thread

On Slim is that the factory gas tank? If so, do you know how many gallons it holds? I’m wanting to add an auxiliary tank on my EB in that location behind the axle. Using a factory tank and mounting would be great!
