    Newbie gmt800 Advice Needed

Yep, just have to remember to not be hard on it as the delayed lock can cause a bit of a shock when it engages, thats usually when people break them. And remember its not a limited slip so don't put in any friction additive when you change the fluid.

    Newbie gmt800 Advice Needed

You mentioned the g80, does it not already have it? If not then most say its not really worth swapping in, the delayed lock can cause it to break easily when it does lock. Unless its already in there then your better off with getting something else. 285-75-r16 I put on my 2004 silverado without...

How to lift and mount heavy baja style truck canopy (not slide in)?

Our old camper the jacks had three feet each. The front feet I'd turn so one foot was pointing straight out from the truck and therefore the inner two were not very far under. The outer bit of the tires would run over them but it was right at the end of the foot where it was closest to the...

Storage on the outside on the window?

Well, I asked if they were practice and you gave a practice example. You do drive with it on there as well? I would think a big bump if could flex and crack the window.

Storage on the outside on the window?

I don't know what its called to search to see if its been asked. I see this new trend, first with the ads for the new LandRover where it has a storage box on the outside of the rear window. Looking around different social media sites I see people doing this a lot now, various mounting methods...

    GMT800 People - Opinions wanted on upgrades/mods

While your designing grab the upfitter docs https://www.gmupfitter.com/light-duty-vehicles/light-duty-prior-to-2013/ Looks like they rearranged a bit making the 800's harder to find. I have them downloaded but I don't know about the allowability of attaching here.

    2003 Suburban project

I've read that about the G80. It locks when there is >100 rpm difference between the wheels so if one wheel starts spinning fast it will lock and after the wheels are locked for a bit they spin at the same speed so it unlocks, but is your still in low traction you can start spinning >100 rpm...

I believe it uses to default to the floor lever transfer case rather than the push button too.

    Overlandtowater’s solid axle suburban

The inner tubes from your rear bumper to the rear wheel, shouldn't the end curve inward to it doesn't catch on things? I just ready through the whole thread, I was sure you were going to have a blown engine after switching to a Fram filter, glad to see you replaced it before it could do damage...

    Connectors and crimpers

I was comparing vibration and g-force but in the end I was saying we still need to be careful about soldering and wicking because there are still vibrations and forces on the wiring.

    Connectors and crimpers

I too have had to solder due to not having a good crimp tool so that's something I do need to invest in. Sure we are not subjecting our wiring to rocket launch stress but engine vibrations and/or lots of bumpy roads can flex wires a bit so one should be careful to not let the solder wick out of...

    Battery Isolator Location?

Does your vehicle have a factory jump start terminal? I know a lot of them have went to that to steer people away from connecting cables directly to the battery. Mine mounted off the side of the engine sort of between the alternator and battery and three cables meet there, one coming from the...

    Battery Isolator Location?

I'd have to guess the previous owner of your vehicle removed the large ground as I've never seen a vehicle without it. My first truck was like that, previous owner put o a body lift and the large ground didn't reach so they left it disconnected. I found out years later when the large battery...
