    Started a trailer build

Kind of forgot about the thread. This trailer should have been done in January but a round of covid and pneumonia slowed me down. Got her finished up over the weekend. RTT goes on this weekend. The whole thing will get raptor lined in spring. Use between now spring will allow me to determine...

Thinking of building/in the planning stages of a build….

I would probably look into buying a 6x12 or 5x10 enclosed trailer with leaf springs. You could put in a couple of windows a fold down bed and still be able to haul the SxS. You could flip the axle and probably be able to fit 31s or 32s. Put a couple of 100 watt solar panels on the roof, a 100 Ah...

Electrical system for DIY camper build. A LOT of questions.

I use a Ctek dc to dc charger which is also my solar panel controller. I have 1 100 watt solar panel and a group 31 odyssey AGM drop cycle battery. Mainly the battery powers my HAM radio and an ARB fridge/freeze. The ctek uses alternator to charge deep cycle if necessary it also will allow solar...

    1978 Cherokee Chief Build

A Dana 300 would be a nice option as well. With the exhaust I always ran both pipes down the passenger side and used the round ford truck style mufflers. That being said I certainly understand wanting to work with what you have. I would love to build and old j truck or maybe even an IH full size...

    1978 Cherokee Chief Build

I always 4" suspension lifts and 36" tsl's on my chiefs. Your offset diff and a center output to case like a Dana 20 will work fine. If you can find them a tf727 with a Dana 20 works well. I used get a tf727 out of an 80's fsj and a tf727 and dana20 from a scout. Install the scout output shafts...
