All of the weather stripping is twenty years old now and leaks really bad. Mainly at the corners where it has shrunk up. We called our ambo manufacturer and they sent us what they use now. Way too small. Has anyone replaced it, and what did you end up using?
Thanks
Here's Mavis, a 1999 E-450 Excellance typeIII.
The 7.3 only had 114k on the clock.
She was a rural hospital ambulance, then served as a rescue truck for the local volunteers.
Here she is when we first got her home.
Old interior.
Had to do a little deep clean and floor removal.
We built a...
The truck weighs 11k currently. It has 4.10's on 34's. The tranny still searches at around 60-65 which is mostly what we do on the big road. I'm trying to decide between deeper gears(4.88) or more power(programmer) to push it down the road. Any advice from those with heavier rigs would be...
After removing all the goodies and the ginormous center console that came in our ambulance, we are looking for a clean setup to mount switches. I'm not against removing the unused radio and placing one there. We've actually been trying to find an ambo console that fits the top of the dash...
Have any ambo guys that gut all the power hogging stuff removed the second alternator? Trying to decide if going to the single truck style would be easier to find parts in the future.
I have a question for the ambo guys that have gutted the interior. What did you do with the doors? Screw them shut and seal them? Weld them closed? We are about to rip out sections of our interior and are looking for ideas. Thanks
We ordered our lift back in June. Ujoint was super fast getting their goodies shipped. No complaints with their service. How long has it taken Atlas to get springs shipped? We are 15 weeks into a 12 week wait. Is this normal? Chris is working on his end to find something out. We were just...
Does anyone use them? Either I can't find the correct search terms, or they're not that popular. I really like the idea but wanted some opinions from the real world before I drop the coin. I ride a 99 KLR.
thanks,
Jeremy
located in Waco TX. Trailer is perfectly functional, just not cosmetically complete. The tent has been used twice. My wife decided she's not as outdoorsey as she thought. Trailer has a new 3500lb six lug axle with 80 series wheels. I'll get some pics later. There are some pics on mud under...
I found a hemacool fridge freezer for cheap. The only downside is the gubment cut the refrigerant lines and took out the battery. Does anyone know if it could put back in service or is it a waste of time?
Thanks
