Navigating a sea of mountains - Gaspésie 2017

Do it!! You won't regret it, Gaspesie is really awesome. Gaspesie National Park is a place I know I will return. If I did not go on this trip during the beginning of hunting season I would have explored more of the Chic-Chocs Reserve, thats too bad...

Navigating a sea of mountains - Gaspésie 2017

I did not see a single moose or caribou on this trip lol Although Mount Ernest-Laforce is apparently one of the best spot within Gaspésie National Park to get to see moose, you would have a better chance to see them at dawn when they are more active, I went on my hike there middle day, same as...

Navigating a sea of mountains - Gaspésie 2017

When I arrived in Perce, I booked one night at the local camping cote surprise. I would get the best campsite with a direct view on the Perce Rock. For the first time on this trip, I slept in my tent instead of the back of the pathfinder. The night was cold and humid but it was suddenly all...

Navigating a sea of mountains - Gaspésie 2017

Not much have been said about Gaspésie on EXPO, therefore I am sharing my trip report. I went on a 2 weeks solo overland trip in September: Lead Image by Matt Godin, on Flickr Born and raised on the east coast of Canada, I used to admire the mountains of Gaspesie across from the...

    2006 R51 Pathfinder

Yes, that's it, these guys are those I was referring too! I really like the sliders, I trust that they would do what they were designed for, however the salt on the road here during winter has been hard on them after 7 years...

    2006 R51 Pathfinder

I am not looking for lockers at this time but you are correct, the front diff and suspension components are the same for the 05+ frontier/xterra/pathfinder (until 2012 for the pathfinder as it turned into a total minivan after that...) In fact they all share a lot of components. As for the rear...

    2006 R51 Pathfinder

I have never actually tried the BajaRack hi-lift brackets, so since I have removed the rack as I am waiting on them for a new wind deflector, now would be the best time to test the hi-lift attachment as I wouldn't need to climb up there lol... I'll put it on and post pics! I believe the...

    2006 R51 Pathfinder

Thanks! When I got it I did not know much about off-roading so wasn't aware of the IRS limitation. For the type of exploration I do I think it will do just fine. I love that I can sleep in it and it is super comfy on long stretch!
