    Question for you RTT owners

I put mine on by myself using a ramp similar to what was posted above. I used several 2x4x12s (doubled on each side for support) and a couple cross members. I then covered it with marine carpet to make it slide a little easier. There are holes drilled along the way to use stop blocks so I can...

Anyone using this camp stove & case ?

I haven't had a chance to use it out camping yet due to Corona, but seems decent for the money. It is not a super high quality stove but for the price that was known and good enough (think average Chinese quality). I'd agree with most of the reviews you read online either bass pro or amazon (i...

Anyone using this camp stove & case ?

The Stansport that I linked just dropped in price so I snagged one. We'll see how it works when it shows up.

Anyone using this camp stove & case ?

Looks very similar to the Stanport version (Amazon Link) that has gotten good reviews. Not sure if there is much difference between this, Stanport or Camp Chef.

Modding a RTT to close 'thicker' to swallow more bedding??????

Subscribed. I have the same issue on my 23Zero, I'm curious to see what you come up with.

    Tex's 2019 GX460 build

Were you driving down Kirby around 12:30? Saw a white lifted GX driving down Kirby that looked great. Still debating the new MRAs, but the the preorders on CBI's GXOR bumper just opened so have some hard decisions to make.

    Tex's 2019 GX460 build

Great looking truck!! I'm in the process of trying to figure out what lift I want to do and similar to you I still want it to be a comfortable daily. Did you ever look at Dobinsons MMR? I know Treaty Oak is here in Houston and a big distributor of Dobinsons. It seems a lot of people recommend...

    Post up your drawer/storage system

I finally was able to finish my drawers this week. I used a lot of ideas from this thread but mainly started with the idea of something similar to Drifta's system. I went back and forth on using plastic vs. full drawer slides and settled on aluminum strips on the frame with UHMWE on the bottom...

    HDPE vs. Full Drawer Slides

Did some more testing and came to the same conclusion with the varnish. I able to get some 3/4" x 36" aluminum strips last night from HD for a little under $5 each so ~$20 to solve my issue and slides a little better than the plywood. My understanding is the UHMW wears fairly well so should last...

    HDPE vs. Full Drawer Slides

Quick update: I bought some UHMW and new HDPE from McMaster-Carr and did some testing. The UHMW was very similar to the HDPE that I bought on Amazon so I'm not sure if Amazon sent me the wrong material, but the new HDPE was noticeably softer. The UHMW slides better than the new HDPE (testing...

    HDPE vs. Full Drawer Slides

I was debating making them a little shorter, I haven't glued anything together yet so I can still make changes. They are currently in two pieces so I can stack them on top of each other with a fridge on one side or remove completely and add one of the rear seats back in. Still have a lot of...

    HDPE vs. Full Drawer Slides

Thanks all. I was looking at a review of the Drifta drawers and the thread here that someone made them and just wasn't getting the same results. Link: Drifta Drawer Unbiased Review - Rear Storage Setup for Overlanding Camping Adventuring Offroading This video and others make them look looks...

Sure-Fire Ways to Improve Your Roof Top Tent

I looked into the telescoping tubes first (the new 23zero tents work that way), but I couldn't get it to fit. For my tent I would have to telescope the pole to less than half the height of the pole to make it work, which isn't possible. I don't know if the new design adjusts the frame to allow...

    HDPE vs. Full Drawer Slides

I'm in the process of building drawers and started down the route of using HDPE but so far I'm very disappointed on how they slide (Link: Sheet, HDPE, Black, 1/8 In T, 12 x 48 In). Has anyone else used HDPE and regretted it and switched to regular drawer slides? I know they are a lot more...

Sure-Fire Ways to Improve Your Roof Top Tent

See my post: #763. I linked Amazon, but ended up finding them a little cheaper on ebay. Any 1" marine hinge should work, but check your tent in case its a different diameter than mine.

Drifta Drawer Style Build (Toyota Prado 120/ Lexus GX470)

I'm in the middle of building something very similar. On the side with the table, what did you use to attach the drawer catch to the 1/4 ply (step 18)? I'm worried that small screws may not be enough support and may rip out over time or just gluing the catch in place. Thanks.

    DIY 90L Fridge Slide

This looks great! I'm going to have to look into making this when I get a fridge.

Sure-Fire Ways to Improve Your Roof Top Tent

I got the hinges and was able to cut the u shaped bar to work. So far it works great, but I've only tested in my garage. I got some PVC ($5) to make a test bar and prove the theory before I cut the actual bar. I then used a hack saw to cut the supports in half and take off a little less than an...

Sure-Fire Ways to Improve Your Roof Top Tent

I was watching the video on the Treehouse tents that has a folding bar that goes over the annex (Youtube: Why Would I Choose Treeline?) and it appears they use a simple pipe hinge to allows the bar to stay connected. Has anyone tried this yet? It looks like a very simple solution and the hinges...

Drifta Drawer Style Build (Toyota Prado 120/ Lexus GX470)

Based on the original plans the height of the area that holds the table is ~2 inches, but I assume that'll have to be adjusted to whatever you're going to use for the legs. I haven't found a good off the shelf solution for the legs and looks like it'll have to be custom made to fit. I assume the...
