    LMTV 1078 Camper build concept

You can use the ASV as an example. Threaded section goes over rim studs and you bolt ring to sections. ASV uses same wheel ends and rim as FMTV series.

    Blocking camper in bed...

I have a 2014 RAM 3500 and a cirrus 820. I made a U shaped device with upright 2x4's. Theres appx 1/4 inch on each side of camper inside the wood, so not alot room to mount but you can tell really fast if you"re getting out of line.

    LMTV 1078 Camper build concept

While I seem to be a little late to thread. The crash protection for cab is pretty good as its built from factory. On the way to Charleston(heading to Iraq back in 2002)we had a LMTV rear end another vehicle. The front of cab was pushed in but we were able to still drive it. We had to jump the...

anyone own a livin' lite 8.4 s? thoughts?

I had a 9.6S on a RAM 3500. Camper weight said a little less than 3000 lbs so I got truck w/ 4430 or so carrying capacity. On the way home I noticed quite a bit of sway so I bought some timbren's and a big wig swaybar. It helped a lot but sway was always there. I went back to my dealer for a...

    MRAP ROLLING CHASSIS

Jeepdreamer Hopefully my response to your post didn't come off too snarky. I came back to see if someone had an idea about what it was. Just trying to be factual, possibly too much.

    MRAP ROLLING CHASSIS

It is most definitely not a buffalo chassis as they are a hull style design. Not even a fuffalo, which is a training only truck built on a 900 series 5T chassis. Data plate says FWD fire apparatus.

    Hemtt/ Define America Project

When I was in Korea I drove a HEMMT Fueler for one exercise and I wondered about the fuel mileage for these vehicles. I had the full 2500 gallons in the tank. On our roadmarch we only went 45 MPH. So when we reached our final destination I refilled to the same spot and did the averaging and it...

    OshKosh Vehicles Racing Baja 1000

that suspension is what all the MRAP's are getting changed over to. I've also had the pleasure to ride in the bed of a Marine 7 tonner, which has the same suspension and has also been upgraded , when they relieved us in Fallujah in early 2004. Very nice ride and not a bit of sarcasm on this end...

Expedition Camper- M135a2 (bobbed) or Unimog 404

If you go the Deuce route check the injector pump for the modification sticker. If it has had a new IP they only burn diesel/JP-8. The military has changed to a single fuel source for their equipment so they changed the gravity valve in the IP to get a little more MPG out of the trucks. No...

Bobbed Deuce as a Possible Expedition Platform? $7500

Those are the A3 models and I'm pretty sure that the Reserves and Nat'l Guard still have those in the inventory. Those are the only people I see around here(Ft Bragg NC) driving them. Eventually to be replaced by the FMTV series of trucks. They also have powersteering.

The top speed according to TM 9-2320-209-10 is 56 MPH. When I drove mine I could cruise about 59 flat out. Each one is different. Some came with a 1:1 top gear ratio and some came with an overdrive transmission. All 5 speeds.
