    Chevy/GMC Vans Over Ford Vans

Thanks for all the help. I've thought long and hard on it and have decided to keep my truck and get a Four Wheel Camper. I already have a Chevy 2500 4x4 that's paid off. I prefer the pass through of a van, and may get one in the future. But for now it just seems too expensive to look into...

    Chevy/GMC Vans Over Ford Vans

Thanks for the replies! That was exactly the info that I was missing and helps a ton. I'm not sure that I will need 4x4, but I want to get a vehicle that it could be added to in the future if possible. Chris-If I'm looking at a new E350 Wagon EB, is there anything that I should steer clear of...

    Chevy/GMC Vans Over Ford Vans

I've been toyin' with the idea of moving from my truck to a van for more camp use. I would like a SMB, but I want to do something on a budget so I'm looking at getting a van to use as is (daily driver) for a while, and then in time maybe add a Penthouse bed or an interior. Maybe. We already have...

    Salsa Mukluk!

Jay H. Put the Salsa Enabler fork on your Fargo and run it as a half-fat. It'll save you some cash and still give you the smiles!

    Me and the Moonlander!

Stoked to see this thread over here! I just got back from MN riding my Salsa Mukluk on the snowmobile trails out there. I've been posting pics here. I think I've seen some of you pics in the MTBR fatbike forum. My handle is Area45 over there. We need to get a fatbike rally together sometime. Our...

    Salsa Mukluk!

I haven't been on this site for a while. I wandered back searching for Flippacs and found this. I have a Mukluk that I bought from Topanga as well! A Fargo Ti too! If you want to get together and ride shoot me a note. I've got a couple blogs you can reach me through. www.frontageroads.com and...

Jayco, Starcraft, Fleetwood vs. Adventure Trailer, Kimberly Kamper, etc.

I think the best way to use these is, as you said, a basecamp. We camped at Furnace Creek in Death Valley and then rode our bikes all over the park. Like you said, it's really nice to come back to a shower and bed. As for the comparing, yes I did. I looked at the Fleetwoods, Jayco Baja and...

Jayco, Starcraft, Fleetwood vs. Adventure Trailer, Kimberly Kamper, etc.

I haven't posted much here for quite some time, but it looks like I may be able to help out here...finally! About a year ago I was drooling over an Adventure Trailer (still do!) and was considering purchasing one. I was looking for a solution for a better camping experience for my wife, and...

    Ural right?

Here's a recent report from Advrider from the famous Mr. Cob and Don.

Where did you ride this last weekend?

Thanks Ron. It was pretty fun to travel with it. Everytime we stopped someone would ask about it. The only problem was that since it wasn't ours we were constantly worried about it. We ended up breaking one window and bending a frame on the other one. I had considered buying it before, but...

    Flippac Info?

That's funny. Is there where the "Sex on the Beach" drink got it's name? I know these things are crazy expensive, but what do you know about theKimberly Kamper? I saw them at the show back in February and didn't really look at them much, but I just came across them again and noticed that you...

    Flippac Info?

Hey Vince, Nice pics in the new 4WD Toyota mag. Your rig got some good coverage in there. Nice way to sell Baja to the lil' lady with your rig sitting on the beach in there.

    Flippac Info?

What is? The Flippac? I think it's the cheapest option out there for what I'm looking for, unless I've missed something.

    Flippac Info?

YES! Got a hold of them today. They can make one. $3300 for the shell. An extra $450 if you want it color matched, and $250 for the Rain Fly. I'm going to try and go down there next week to talk to them in person.

    Flippac Info?

Thanks for that Vince. I was wondering if the Flippac had some sort of rainfly or if it was built into the tent. It was on my list of questions, but I still haven't heard back from them. Will try again today.

    Flippac Info?

The Sprinter could be a daily driver. It gets about the same mpg as my Tacoma. I don't think it's 4x4. Not yet anyways. It can tow 5000 pounds I think. Not sure about the tounge weight. It also counts as a second home, so there's a tax break available.

    Flippac Info?

I have thought about that. Here's the answer, but it's an expensive answer. Sportsmobile Sprinter! I can't wait to see these at the RV show. This answers everything, can tow or use a hitch carrier, has a bathroom and can be configured to carry the bike inside! Bike Sample

    Flippac Info?

Yes Vince, I think I can, with some reinforcements, use a hitch carrier. I've read both good and bad about them though, so for the heavier KTM I think there's just too much weight back there. The bike is about 350pounds, but it has a 7-1/2 gallon fuel tank (about 63 pounds), plus the extra...

    Flippac Info?

I'm still trying to get an answer from them. Four Wheel Camper does list the 05 Tacoma, so that would have to be the backup plan I guess. However the Four Wheel Camper costs twice as much.

    Flippac Info?

Thanks Vince. We just got back from a weeklong trip towing a 1947 Ken-Skill Teardrop. We went to visit my sis in Montana and then spent 2 nights at Yellowstone. Here's the trailer. This was the first long trip that my wife has joined me on. So I looked at this trip as a test to see what...
