Its a 4.25lb tank not 5lb. Maybe that mount would have worked IDK, but for $100+ is wasn't going to take the gamble. This one cost me $10 in paint and latch (8 pack for like $6 on amazon) and scrap metal laying around....and of course my labor is free, because I'm cheap.

I think the tires on it measure about 29". 31" should fit no problem. I actually built the fenders a little larger thinking someday bigger tires might go on.

Interior of the box is about 40"X72". The fenders are another 10-1/2" wide on each side. The axle rating is unknown by me. However it is an old Uhaul trailer. My guess would be 1000 lbs per spindle?

So I just got done with my rebuild project of this old Uhaul trailer. It's a great little trailer but just to small behind my full size truck. If anyone is interested shoot me a message. I have a build thread under trailers. Comes with 4 matching tires. It's been rewired, bearings packed...

I'll probably sell it. I have a full size truck and it looks to small behind it. Future plans are to own a jeep/land cruiser again but with a daughter that is just about to get her license a "fun" rig isn't in the immediate future.
