These mountains are part of the Turtle Mountains in California desert. It is believed to be the area where the lost arch gold mine remains hidden. These mountains are one range to the east of the Old Woman Mountains.

We will be returning to this mine on May 20-21st for another radio test. Will test the carbon monoxide tester out and check the levels.

Yeah, not the safest thing to do. We had pre-run the mine to check ventilation and we had a drafting flow towards the vents. Once we arrived we would shut of the engines. Vehicle fire would definitely call for emergency egress.

Leeky Feeder antenna and cave radio We've been having discussion in QRZ about very Low RF radios that are considered "Cave" Radios. We will be looking into this the next time we visit the mine with Land Ops. Or use LF SSB such as this: Cave Radio 185 kHz SSB transceiver

The mine is pretty much one track that is hard to deviate from. It's basically an in and out trip. You really can't get lost by taking a spur.
