The shell on my Ranger is pretty thick, not sure how thick it is on the 4runners. I will try and post pics.

I used the Thule artificial gutter mounts on my shell to mount my 4x6 ConFer using 6 mounts.

I'm out here for a couple years and left my charger and data cable back in Cali, I won't be heading back to Cali for a few months. I do alot of hiking and I would like my VX6 charged (and maybe programmed with some of the local repeaters? :)) and that should get me through till I get back to...
