    Rock sliders

John makes a great product. I have a set on my 2005 Power Wagon. In trail trim, it weighs about 8,000lbs. They have held up the truck after landing hard on rocks and show no signs of weakness.

    Quickfist, the tool mounting solution?

Not dumb. I thought about that over the weekend, but I wasn't home to try it. I will post results when I do. Thanks! Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk

    Quickfist, the tool mounting solution?

That's what I was thinking. Just does 't look right. If I were to use fender washers on the mounting bolts the mount could still bend where you see it because it is beyond the point where a washer would make contact. Unfortunately the tools only fit horizontally. Sent from my SPH-L720 using...

    Quickfist, the tool mounting solution?

Sorry this took so long. I was away for the weekend. I just returned and took a few pics of the sagging Quick Fists: Yes, I know my sledge hammer is rusty. It's been a long winter... I'll get to it soon... Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk

    Quickfist, the tool mounting solution?

Maybe some of you with more QF experience than I can help me... I mounted a maul and a sledge hammer horizontally on the outer wall of a bed tool box in my PW. Both tools caused the QFs to sag immediately. They look nothing like the photos in this thread. It's quite a pain to secure the tools...

    Tire Inflation

I agree with this. I think the name on the box that I bought at Pep Boys was Typhoon. Several people I know have them and have no issues. However, I must add my story to this discussion. The first unit I bought ran but would not pump air. It turns out the hose was plugged during the...

    Coleman Colorado Frankenstein Trailer Project

You could drop the trailer off at your sheet metal guy's shop. He could measure and cut the pieces leaving no room for missinterpreting what you want. Panels could be labeled for you to install. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 4

A more proactive thread, 89 econoline from auto 4x2 to 4 speed 4x4

My Dad had an Econoline with a 3 speed manual with a floor shift. It was factory Ford equipment. It was definitely NOT a short throw shifter! The pattern went from the dashboard to the driver's seatback. Very fun to drive. It sounded like a UPS truck. The old ones with Ford straight 6s and...

    2012 Power Wagon Build

    2012 Power Wagon Build

That is a nice looking truck. I have an '05. They are quite capable. IIRC, the Aluminess sliders bolt to the inside of the rocker panel. You may have damaged the sheetmetal that the slider bolts through. This is the first real "test" I have seen. That wasn't a hard hit. I hope it is something as...

Finally pulled the trigger on a Power Wagon.

Amen to all of that! Fortunately, there are many who have found solutions to the common issues, and several places to find them. Welcome to the PW club. Nice truck, BTW.
