I just put a 4in BDS on my diesel and the ride is fantastic unloaded. Should be smoother when loaded up. I also like the warantee they offer.

I use carabineers to hold light things on mine, like to keep gloves accessible. Hadn't thought about using it for larger items. Sidenote, do you have a rack over your Softtopper? I'm looking at having one made since I can't find anything that works off the shelf for the F 150.

You may want to call the OK DMV to see what permit you need. Otherwise, you may want to have it transported so you don't have to deal with permits and such.
