Front Recovery Point Options for a 2020 MB Sprinter

Looking for front recovery point options like the ARB brackets. Right now all I have is the passenger side eye bolt. Van Compass hidden bumper has recovery hooks but it may be an overkill if I don’t want a winch. Any ideas?

    OSoloMeO Bugout Stealth Build

I checked into it & was told a cab boot wasn’t a viable option but I’ll look further into it - I’d dearly love a way to slither into the cab - thanks

    OSoloMeO Bugout Stealth Build

I’ve had a few great rigs, but I’m thinking I like this the best. What I like is the simplicity of it, and the ability to stealth. In some ways a van would be better, but I want 4 wheel drive, and with my present rig I think I get the most bang for my buck. I had a Disco Land Rover & a 14’...

    Fridge/freezer advice wanted

Yes that’s true about the 1/2 of the 80 amph. I crank my fridge down a bit when traveling but when running off the charged battery, I set it at 4c - perfect temp!

    Fridge/freezer advice wanted

I’m probably the nkotb (new kid on the block) when it comes to fridges - I’ve had my Engel 34quart for less than a week. Loving it! I rigged up a separate under the chassis group 24 deep cycle battery that gets charged from the vehicle system (F-250) with a toggle switch on the dashboard (a...

Worrisome Dash Warning Signals.... drive or get towed?

I will check for that fuse. But I talked to a Ford service tech today who told me the toggle switch is the better way to do it. He said the break for the toggle can actually go anywhere between the primary battery and the secondary. He also checked out the work done by the RV repair place & said...

Worrisome Dash Warning Signals.... drive or get towed?

Well yes, I agree I took a chance. As it was, I drove my vehicle back to the RV repair shop & they found the problem- something that had to do with the vehicle battery (or alternator) will not accept another battery automatically (charge the deep cycle battery when vehicle is running and...

Worrisome Dash Warning Signals.... drive or get towed?

2014 F-250 gas I went to an RV place today (Thursday) to have an external group 24 deep cycle battery installed for running a 12v fridge inside my camper. They installed a battery switch (isolator?) circuit, 30 amp breaker. As I was leaving, I realized my dashboard was lit up like a Christmas...

    Propane tank under chassis mount

This is why I figured that a 2 1/2 gallon vertical (removable) DOT tank (12” x12”) would be my best option. Sure, climbing under the truck to disconnect is a pain but I’d probably only have to do it once a week or every other week during a trip. I’ve gone on month long trips before where 5...

    Propane tank under chassis mount

Yes both. I have an Olympian Wave3 & a 2 burner Coleman stove

    Propane tank under chassis mount

Are you all referring to permanently mounted tanks? If so, I imagine a propane remote fill kit is required to fill it? I am thinking if so, who the heII is going to check if the tank has been painted? Will start calling auto junkyards on Monday :) found a horizontal 5-1/2 gal. 23"L, 10"...

    Propane tank under chassis mount

Thanks - yes, taking it off would be a pain. I just posted an ad for a horizontal tank - over $500 new - too much!

    Propane tank under chassis mount

I’ve downsized from my Alaskan camper to just a shell on my 2014 F-250. Installed a Torklift under chassis bracket for a group 24 battery for my Engel fridge. Now wondering the most efficient way for a propane tank. I don’t want to mess with filling 16 oz canisters. Am thinking of mounting an 11...

New Alaskan side entry flatbed 8.5' build!!

Beautiful! One question - have you driven it down dirt roads yet, and if so, how dust proof is your camper? I just put 4,248 miles on my 2014 F250 & ‘72 Alaskan camper - Southwest adventure! It held up really well - but had to put up with a lot of dust

F250 V8 Flex Fuel 6.2 - how cold it too cold?

Thanks again for info. Am back from my 25 day Southwest trip. Have to say it was COLD that night in Silverton. But I survived it - a great experience!

F250 V8 Flex Fuel 6.2 - how cold it too cold?

Well that’s good news to me - being a Central Californy boy I’m not used to much below 30*F - thanks all & glad I can provide a little laugh!

F250 V8 Flex Fuel 6.2 - how cold it too cold?

Hello I am hunkered down inside my Alaskan camper outside of Silverton Co - Am fine inside (barely - catylitic heater plus 2 wool blankets & down sleeping bag- the worst that could happen is my pee pot freeze :) but worried about my F250 - supposed to get down to 12* F at 4:00 am - should I be...

First Alaskan-Flat bed side door entry-A dream

This might have already been mentioned - (if so please forgive) I just noticed Alaskan Camper is debuting a flatbed / side door model at Overland Expo in Flagstaff. I'd go just to see it - but have conflicting schedule (flying up to Anchorage for 10 days of fishing/kayaking/hiking!)

12v Deep cycle battery chassis mount

The price seems right - but looks a bit flimsy - and doubtful it is a custom fit for a 2014 F250 - thanks anyway
