    Motorbike Overlanding vs 4 Wheels...

Putting a sidecar on a motorcycle makes it much less easy to ship. I used 2 wheels for 4 years traveling the world. At times it wasn't fun, but overall it was a lot less hassle than trying to do the same trip in a 4x4. And make sure you have a bike than can get serviced in many places. Finding...

    expedition VW beetle

I had a friend in jr. high that got a bug that had a bad engine. We spent a lot of time messing around with it to get it running again. You can pretty much work on one with a crescent wrench and a screwdriver. And even a jr. high kid can figure out just about everything, making it a great first car.

    EV acceptance is peaking

A whole bunch of people recently learned that very cold weather isn't conducive for getting an EV charged. As commodities prices rise so will battery prices. Look what it cost to replace a battery on a used Tesla. Hertz is off loading most of it's EC fleet.

Sounds like Stellantis is on the right path.

I think diesel fuel is a must for the world to operate. When things get worse, and they will, I think diesel will be the fuel to have. Shortages will happen with gasoline first, having a diesel powered vehicle might be worth having, no matter the price. And when all is said and done, I also...

A Lifted Overlanding Prius | Crossing Darién Gap | What's Needed?

My buddy told me that the Chinese are going to build a road thru the Darien gap. It will be quite the undertaking, but then you will be able to take your Prius thru without road problems. Other problems will probably still make it an adventure to do.

Sounds like Stellantis is on the right path.

It would be even better if they ditched the gasoline V-6 for a diesel one. Then, the range would be even better and torque would be better as well.

    Smoking deal on an ER.

At least it doesn't have a cassette toilet that needs to be dumped every few days. I could go a long time with a 125 gallon black tank before needing to dump.

    2023 MotoCamp Adventure Colorado/Utah

I'd use the Sherpa. You already own it and it can do everything those bigger bikes can do, although on the highway a bit slower.

    Refillable 1 Lb Propane Bottles

I carry three different sized propane tanks. 10 gallon and 5 gallon to run the RV. 1 gallon to run the grill. And the onboard 10 gallon that came with the RV. My buddy has a stove that uses the little bottles and he wants to adapt it to use a big bottle. Refilling the little ones isn't very...

For comfort and room with a family, the Honda Pilot would be a contender for me. Maybe one of the new Jeep Wagoneers.

    Yamaha TW200? Looking for feedback

I like a bike with bigger wheels so you can at least get up to highway speeds. Maybe have a look at the XT 250. Nothing wrong with the TW, just not as all around as I'd like in a small bike. And, since I will always plug my Super Sherpa as the best little all around out there, have a gander at...
