    SOLD! 2003 G500

Having lived a good amount of time in Texas, I can understand all of that. The state flag should be a private property sign. Good Stuff, GLWTS. I didn't pay much less than that for my '91 - This really is a deal.

    Power Wagon In Europe?

25 years old in 2023 (assuming a 3 year tour) is 1998 - GWagon, Land Cruiser (with the troop seats or third row) would fit your family of 6, be bulletproof reliable, have all of the comforts you would be looking for, and able to come home with you. Just saying. Then again, I go back to my...

    Power Wagon In Europe?

I live in Germany currently, and I would say bring what you want. It sounds like you understand the limitations. Big trucks are difficult to move in the cities, can be impossible to park almost anywhere - not to mention your home - depending on where you choose to live. I also understand Italy...

    Group?

I see enough dirty overlanders around Germany that there has to be enough to get an English group going. Post vehicle and location. Maybe we can set something up to a park or something, softroaders invited too. 91 gwagon - Frankfurt.

    Used over lander

There are quite a few... A sellers market it seems, because many that they are wanting that kind of money for have problems... moreso than you might expect from a 25yo car at that price. It took me over a year, and I didn't check every box - but most of them. I'm up near Frankfurt.

    Used over lander

Depending on year a decent G, from my research is around ~$20k US. I didn't really look for Land Cruiser - Wasn't what I was looking for. Where are you at?

    Used over lander

I haven't found any overland focused and in english, if you find some please share. There are many enthusiasts in Germany, but all the travel is out side of Germany. Not much to overland from what I have seen. What kind of over-lander are you interested in? I recently bought a G 300GE from...

    Project: Expedition Allroad

That's the one, I got the one for the 2.7 and just made new holes for the 4.2. And on the wheels... I was in the same spot you are..... Looked at the same wheels... At the end of it, I went with a set of spare rims (that I wish I had gotten powdercoated black prior to mounting the tires)...

    Project: Expedition Allroad

Nah, I really haven't done anything near or as special as what you are doing. I have a skid plate, the leveling arm extenders and the tires, would love to do more... just time and money.

    Project: Expedition Allroad

That was from the ground to the underside of the frame... Though, come to think of it, that was with the 225s, Guess I need to check with the 215s - I guess It might be almost an 1" less.

    Project: Expedition Allroad

I have had the bigger tires for about 20,000 miles... Or 20K + about 3% 60mph indicated - GPS says 62. No issues with the tires or drive train so far, and I don't think the 4.2 had anything different... Though, I did to a 6mt swap, and I think in order to make that work he had to use the 2.8...

    Project: Expedition Allroad

Seems your end state is right where I am at - Though I have the 4.2. I like to think it is a great platform. I will note: I tried the 225 75R 16, and it rubbed a bit to much for my comfort, I ended up with 215 75R 16 (still have the 225s in my garage). My biggest fear was that I would have an...

    225/70r16 BF Goodrich KO2s

Practically brand new tires. I thought I could squeeze a slightly larger tire on, turns out... Not so much. They have less than 500 miles on them, were over $825 from tirerack.com. Want to get $650. I wished they fit so I wouldn't be loosing out, but that's how things go. Willing to deal, trade...
