Lets Discuss 2nd Gen Armada/QX Lift Options

Looking good SRN. I think your rear springs will settle in a bit after a few hundred miles! You need 37's now, those 35's looking a little small :)

QX56/80 High Mileage an Issue for Purchase???

Any update about the light throttle issue? It seems this is common and everyone I know who changed the fluid fixed it. Of course others take it to the dealership and get quoted $5k+ for a new transmission. Dealership seems to think these are sealed units and never need a fluid...

    2nd Gen INFINITI QX56/QX80 Build

I don't have any plans to produce them, they would be expensive for me make for sale simply because I'm just a dude with a Garage. I would be willing to make a pair or two for sale but in reality that would be it. I would also be willing to share CAD files and even let an off-road shop produce...

QX56/80 High Mileage an Issue for Purchase???

Just add a bottle of Zinc (STP) additive to the oil every change if you are worried about timing guides, and don't run that 0w crap. Run 5w-30 or higher. Do a FULL transmission fluid change. You'll be fine. For the Cat efficiency code, I'd honestly just put spark plug non foulers on the rear...

2nd Gen Armada DASH Offroad Skid Plate Kit Install

Nice, those plates look good. Wish someone made a fuel tank skid.

Ironman has shocks, King, Fox, Radflo too. Bilstein doesn't list shocks specifically for the rear but they have some universal ones which would work. All you gotta do is measure what compressed length you need and the right ends.

I agree 100% with this. I think the factory ride in the rear just plain sucks. Yeah it's soft, but it's too soft. The moogs are stiffer, but not overly stiff. They will be much better than your over inflated air shocks.

The subframe drop would work fine, the 2020 is no different than anything else. With that being said the 81085's are awesome and its what I would do.

Yeah, the bolts the PRG kit comes with are too short though, you will need to source some yourself which are about 1" (in metric) longer.

    Titan Tanks Trail Trekker II

No experience with the tank, but from the pictures it seems like it pushes the spare tire out even further, depending on the 35's you have this can be a lot of weight being pushed out and creating a huge amount of leverage. I would say make sure your spare tire mounting system has at least 3...

    2nd Gen INFINITI QX56/QX80 Build

The rear coil only handles like half the load in the rear (if that), so if you add a coil spacer, you still need to increase the air pressure to get higher lift as you have found out. Higher air pressure = stiffer ride. Your best option is to replace the spacer with the Moog 81085 springs. The...

Yes, Dobinsons installed. Toe is good but camber is off a couple degrees. I'm not worried about camber because it doesn't affect tire wear anyways and it's not really visibly apparent.

Not sure on the moogs. A few people are running them and they agree with the 1.5" You can add a spacer too, or a rear subframe drop even better. (improves control arm angles which will help keep your camber/toe in spec)

    2nd Gen INFINITI QX56/QX80 Build

I am thinking about a coilover conversion for the rear. Replace the Coil Bucket LCA with a control arm which accepts a coilover and has adjustability for Toe. I would use a Ballistic joint instead of a heim. I believe the same coilover which works in the front could also be used in the rear, but...

    2nd Gen INFINITI QX56/QX80 Build

Sounds like a good plan. I would go with the Dirt King UCA's since they use a sealed uniball design. The Moog LCA's are good choice, I had them on my Frontier, with that being said I kinda don't think you need to replace the LCA's unless you have a known issue already. They last a long time. On...

    2nd Gen INFINITI QX56/QX80 Build

There is a guy on facebook with the Ironman springs. He was able to get the toe in spec but not the Camber, it was slightly off (I think somewhere around 2 degrees). Ironman and Myself both recommended he drive the vehicle for a few thousand miles to let the springs settle and then the camber...
