Did you have any success finding parts or did you have to fabricate everything? I have a 69 siesta but its a 10', I havent really seen another one except for yours. great job on the refurbish

About the only parts we had trouble with, were the nylon slides. Had them machined from my brothers brother inlaw. Everything else was pretty simple to find at Home Depot or amazon for standard RV parts. I know they made 10' Siestas but have never seen another one besides mine and my brothers. Well, not counting the internet anyway. Glad to see you have yours and keeping it out and using them. Do you have any more pictures of your set up/ floor plan?

Yep, the wood is pretty rotten where the mounts were so I figured it was only a matter of time till they ripped out. I got linear actuators and they work pretty good, but I haven’t gone off roading with it yet so we’ll see once stuff gets moved around a bit. It lifts from the roof now, similar to an Alaskan but with electric motors not hydraulics.

I used linear actuators, 12v. 225 lbs per actuatorx4. You can use different lengths, but at first i used 30in ones back and front, with an extension on the top of each one.

It’s basically like an Alaskan now, but with actuators instead of hydraulics

I've thought about scratch building my take on a flat top version of an Alaskan in the past, but I had no idea the Siesta existed. Great work on the restoration! Love the old school hard sided pop-ups.
